Now, when it comes to your favorite movie characters, sometimes the movie itself just isn't enough. Sure, there's 120 minutes or so of awesomeness to enjoy, and then again on DVD, but when you want more awesomeness from your beloved cultural icons, where can you turn?

Well, for a lot of us, the most obvious choice is the vast and near-overwhelming array of merchandising that surrounds nearly every movie nowadays - the only problem? A whole lot of those products - and especially the dolls and action figures that are mass-produced to accompany movie releases - aren't quite what you saw on the screen.

One man, though, has set out to rectify that...

Noel Cruz is a US-based artist who specialized in a very particular form of art: the repainting of dolls into awesomely realistic versions of themselves. And, as you can imagine, the results - and the transformations - are often pretty darned remarkable...

Like, for instance:

The Hunger Games' Katniss Everdeen IS Jennifer Lawrence

Who transforms from a pretty Barbie-like doll, into Holy Crap is that Jennifer Lawrence?

Harry Freakin' Potter Gets Glasses

Who becomes a lot less burn victim, and a whole lot more Daniel Radcliffe.

And, of course...

Harry's Nemesis Who Shall Not Be Named Doesn't Get Named

Which may actually be my favorite - I mean, holy cow, that's a huge difference...

Disney's Maleficient Gets Perfect Cheekbones

Who goes full Angelina Jolie (which makes you wonder whether Brad Pitt has ordered one...)

Old-School Superman Gets Photo-Realistic

Who, in fairness, wasn't a bad likeness of Christopher Reeve before - but after is almost scarily perfect.

The Vampire Diaries' Damon Gets Moody

Just look at how shiny that hair is! It's like looking at actual, factual Ian Somerhalder...

The Big Bang Theory's Sheldon Cooper Gets Particular

And suddenly looks a whole lot more like Jim Parsons...

Sucker Punch's Babydoll Gets Appropriately Changed

After all, there aren't too many movie characters more deserving of a picture-perfect doll than one named Babydoll...

Titanic's Rose Gets Glamorous

And, as you can tell from the before picture, a whole lot more like Kate Winslet.

Lord of the Rings' Galadriel Goes Full Cate Blanchett

Cruz even gets her eyelids right...

And, of course...

Twilight's Bella and Edward Get a Whole Lot More Like the Movies

Just look at those piercing eyes...

The best part of all of those, though?

You can actually buy Noel Cruz's fantastic repaints - and see way more his awesome creations - right here.

In the meantime, though...

What do you guys think?
