Relax, Sherlock fans. Your beloved Moriarty (Andrew Scott) will be making an appearance in the upcoming newly-titled Bond 24: Spectre. Whether or not he will be playing a villain is yet to be seen but he joins an illustrious cast featuring Christoph Waltz, Lea Seydoux, Dave Bautista, Monica Bellucci and of course, the return of Daniel Craig as Bond, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Also returning is Ralph Fiennes as the newly-appointed M, Naomi Harris as Moneypenny, and Ben Whishaw as Q. Principal photography is due to begin this Monday.
Though the plot of Spectre is still tightly under wraps, Bond afficionados will recognize the phrase as the name of the fictional terrorist organization, introduced by Bond author Ian Fleming in the novel, Thunderball in 1961 and in the first Bond film, Dr. No, the following year.
Bond fans should also rejoice in the turn of Sam Mendes, the director of the acclaimed Skyfall, along with several writers of the film. Of course, like any Bond film, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that filming will include exotic locations such as Morocco, Mexico City, and the Austrian Alps.
