Since the confirmation of the talent above joining the cast of the upcoming Suicide Squad film, the internet has been a buzz about who they will be portraying. I for one agree with the choices for the most part. One in particular I am not 100% sold on. There are even rumors of Oprah coming on to play Amanda Waller.

Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie)

Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) has been confirmed to play the lovely Harley Quinn. I think she is the right choice. Harley is typically blonde-haired and blue eyed (until the New 52) which Margot obviously is. Looks aside, she is a talented actress and I believe that she will bring justice to Quinn's big screen debut. Harley is such a "bi-polar" character, it is going to take a phenomenal actress to portray her.

The Joker (Jared Leto)

Jared Leto/The Joker

The Joker is Batman's number one adversary, and Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) has been confirmed to be our madman. This selection is perfect. Jared is such a dimensional actor playing in horror films all the way down to a transvestite, I don't think he will have a problem at all portraying The Joker. Not to mention, there are a lot of physical similarities between the two.

Deadshot (Will Smith)

This is where I am not completely on board. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Will Smith (Hancock) and I think he is a fantastic actor, but Deadshot is not the character for him. Deadshot is very cold and calculating, and I don't see Smith being able to 100% pull it off. I personally would have put Tom Hardy in this role, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that it works out.

Rick Flag (Tom Hardy)

I am so happy to see Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) back in a DC film. He has proven with his portrayal as Bane that he can bulk up and be the villain that we love to hate. Which Rick Flag will he be playing? Flag has been 3 different generations of characters, father, son and grandson. Whichever they choose, I am completely confident that Hardy will make us all proud.

Enchantress (Cara Delevingne)

Cara (The Face of an Angel) would have been my second choice to play Harley Quinn. This is another choice that I am going to have to agree with. Enchantress is exactly that, an enchantress, and with one word goes from being innocent, blonde-haired June to the raven-haired Enchantress.

Boomerang (Jai Courtney)

Well here's a tricky one, Jai Courtney (A Good Day to Die Hard) as Boomerang (Captain Boomerang). I guess it's a good thing that they took him from a dress-wearing, John C. Riley look alike to a more manly character. I am not too familiar with Jai, but I'm sure he will do just fine.

Those are the confirmed characters. I am really hoping for the addition of a couple more Task Force X members that would really add to this group.

The Jokers Daughter

The Joker's Daughter
The Joker's Daughter

Why?

She would provide the crazy edge and tension in the group that would further add to the quality of the film. She and Harley Quinn do not get along at all and they are both obsessed with The Joker. Two crazy girls and one nutty love triangle would give the group that little push.

Who?

There are a couple of people that some to mind, Emily Kinney (The Walking Dead) or Emma Roberts (Scream 4). Both of these ladies have proven that they can play unstable and crazy, and both have played roles that require a lot of attitude. I think that Emma Roberts would be the best choice for the role because of her character in Scream 4 in particular. She pulls off crazy really well.

Deathstroke

Deathstroke
Deathstroke

Why?

He is the ultimate assassin. Having both Deadshot and Deathstroke on screen together would be every comic fan's dream.

Who?

Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy) or Derek Mears (Friday the 13th). Both of these men would be awesome for different reasons. Deathstroke is a rather large, older man with a mean streak. Rooker and Mears have both portrayed characters that don't mind killing. Rooker would be great because of his raspy voice, his build and he is around the same age as Deathstroke. Mearrs would work because of his height (6'5), his build and his ability to work in large, heavy suits and makeup.
