This is my first post at Moviepilot. So, I thought I'd begin with one of my favorite movie genres: Horror.

As 2014 ends, and 2015 is about to begin in few weeks, everyone is looking forward to new movies of the new year.

So, here's a list of some of the upcoming Horror Movies of 2015.

1. The Woman in Black: Angel of Death

The Woman in Black: Angel of Death is an upcoming 2015 British horror film, directed by Tom Harper and written by Jon Croker, based on a story by Susan Hill. It is the sequel to the 2012 film The Woman in Black, and is produced by Hammer Film Productions and Entertainment One. The Woman in Black: Angel of Death is the first horror movie of the year 2015.

2. Insidious: Chapter 3

Possible Release Date: June 5, 2015.

Insidious: Chapter 3 is an upcoming 2015 American supernatural horror film written and directed by Leigh Whannell in his directorial debut. The third installment in the Insidious franchise, the film stars Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Lin Shaye, Steve Coulter, Whannell, Angus Sampson, Hayley Kiyoko, Ashton Moio, and Ele Keats.

3. Crimson Peak

Possible Release Date: October 16, 2015.

Crimson Peak is an upcoming film directed by Guillermo Del Toro and written by Del Toro, Matthew Robbins, and Lucinda Coxon. The film stars Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam, Jessica Chastain and Burn Gorman. It will be produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Universal Pictures. The film has an incredible cast and is helmed by one of the most visionary directors of today.

4. Amityville: The Awakening

Possible Release Date: 2015. TBA (Not Confirmed).

Amityville: The Awakening is the 12th installment in the Amityville horror movie series. It will be directed by Franck Khalfoun, produced by Jason Blum, Daniel Farrands, and Casey La Scala, and written by Farrands, La Scala, and Khalfoun. It stars Bella Thorne, Cameron Monaghan, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Thomas Mann, and Kurtwood Smith. Let's see what this Amityville has to offer.

5. Poltergeist (2015 film)

Poltergeist is an upcoming 2015 horror film directed by Gil Kenan and written by David Lindsay-Abaire. It is a reboot of the Poltergeist film series. The film stars Sam Rockwell, Jared Harris, Rosemarie DeWitt, Saxon Sharbino, Kyle Catlett, Kennedi Clements, and Jane Adams. It is a reboot or remake of the old classic original film of the same name.

6. Sinister 2

Sinister 2 is an upcoming supernatural horror film directed by Ciaran Foy and written by Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill. It is a sequel to 2012 film Sinister. The film stars James Ransone and Shannyn Sossamon. Let's hope the movie brings us some good horror.

7. Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension

Possible Release Date: March 13, 2015.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension is an upcoming supernatural horror film directed by Gregory Plotkin and written by Jason Pagan and Andrew Stark. The film stars Katie Featherston and Tyler Craig. It is the sixth installment in the Paranormal Activity series.

8. Maggie

Possible Release Date: Sometime in 2015. (Not Confirmed)

Maggie is an independent post-apocalyptic horror drama film, directed by Henry Hobson, written by John Scott 3 and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Abigail Breslin, and Joely Richardson. The film is a dramatic departure for Schwarzenegger, who is more known for his action hero roles. Originally set to have its world premiere at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, the film will now have a release date in early 2015, as Lionsgate bought the American distribution rights. The plot of the movie is based on a teenage girl in the Midwest who becomes infected by an outbreak of a disease that slowly turns the infected into cannibalistic zombies. During her transformation, her loving father stays by her side.

9. Unfriended

Possible Release Date: April 17, 2015.

Unfriended is a supernatural horror film directed by Levan Gabriadze. It is a story of one of several people terrorized by an anonymous person online. Unfriended is also known by the titles Offline and Cybernatural.
