That's a wrap! Batman V. Superman has officially finished principle photography, and to celebrate, the film's cinematographer posted a very interesting instagram video. Check it out:
After some brainstorming with my favorite Batfan, we've guessed that this isn't just part of Batman's costume - it's the slick and shiny cape that he'll don in the film.
Since [Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice](movie:711870) has been said to loosely follow the storyline of the comic series, and one of the most epic fights between Batman and Superman takes place on a chilly, snowy night, in the center of Gotham's conspicuously named Crime Alley.
A lot of fans also sense that this shot is something of a nod to the cool tones and snow of Batman's fight with Bane in The Dark Knight Rises. That's not a bad guess, though the similarly titled comic does stand for itself, and more than likely reflects what we're going to see the in upcoming film.
What's more, the fight's been alluded to already: In the footage shown at this year's San Diego Comic Con, where Batman and Superman faced each other in a downpour of snow, eyes glowing:
It's really cool to see a hint at this pivotal battle - but now the wait begins. While we've been treated to photos from set and assorted leaks, once principal photography ends, we're usually hit with radio silence.
So this, of course, begs speculation! What are you hoping for or most looking forward to in Dawn of Justice? Let's get crazy in the comments.
