Everyone is already buzzing about [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035) due next summer, but it seems that Marvel and Disney are already laying major ground-work for the next [Captain America: Civil War](movie:994409) movie and it is HUGE!

Our favorite armored superhero has already agreed to reprise his role as billionaire-turned-superhero, Tony Stark/Iron Man in the next installment! He's already set to sign the paperwork for this new Marvel film (and I am soooooooo excited) as per Variety last month. There are predictions that this new film is going to be opening up a major amount of story arcs that will develop everything even more, and will be able to keep our favorite Avengers heroes going for a very, very long time!

The other good news? Marvel is going to be re-releasing the entire Civil War comics series again to the public as a leader and tie-in to the upcoming movie,

For those of you not familiar with this story arc, it goes like this:

Tony Stark and Steve Rogers end up becoming foes instead of allies as the government passes a law known as the Superhero Registration Act, which requires that all super-powered heroes (Including mutants) are registered with the government as they have deemed them too dangerous to the public at large.

Now,being on opposite sides of the fence, Tony Stark works for the government alongside other heroes to enforce the Act as a sort of 'police force' out to protect the government's interests. Steve Rogers opposes the act, feeling that it is an infraction against civil liberties, as the act would expect all heroes to reveal themselves and their secret identites and become part of the very same force that Stark is heading.

Now, The Marvel Universe is being torn apart as heroes begin taking sides, both for and against the act, as the largest war that this universe has even experienced not only rips apart their life, but the life of America as well.

Sounds cool, right? Now, the other great news is that RBJ decided to take the role again as he had already signed contracts for [The Avengers: Infinity War](movie:738027) , and with Civil War to begin shooting in April or May of 2016 in Atlanta, it will bring him back yet again for a possible [Avengers: Infinity War - Part II](movie:2390833) .

Now, that's not the only news there is: they are bringing in some more new Avengers that have not been utilized to their full potential as of yet and have played minor roles in other films that are directly connected to Avengers. One of them has already been released (thanks to a fellow contributor who had already gotten the scoop on this! Thanks so much!):

1) The Vision

We already know that the Vision will be making his appearance soon in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, but according to Badass Digest, Vision is not the only one that will be making a show here. There will also be:

2) War Machine

The role made famous by Don Cheadle in Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3 will also be joining the cast, but there has been no mention yet if Cheadle will be returning or if it will be played by someone else.

3) Quicksilver

Now, this is going to be cool! Quicksilver was one of those Avengers that deserves a closer look (more than what is currently planned).

4) Scarlet Witch

I know that she's already appearing in Avengers 2, but hey, just a better chance to explore the character better.

Okay, now here's the bad news:

Three major characters that were part of the franchise have not been mentioned yet: Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye, Mark Ruffalo's Dr. Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury.......

As far as Sam, he did make a statement ten months ago to Screen Rant about his future with the Marvel Universe as well as the Avengers:

Jackson insists he has no idea about the road ahead for Nick Fury beyond the Captain America and Avengers sequels. “Nope, none whatsoever,” he says proudly. “I just know that the Marvel Universe is there, that there are things going on, and that I have three pictures left on my nine-picture deal. That’s all I know. I’ve done six of them, and I’m about to do seven, so I’m running out of Marvel pictures – unless they extend my contract.”

Now, he also stated that he would love to extend his contract, if possible, but there is also the possibility that the story may shift to closer to today's Avengers lore, where S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill may end up taking Fury's place as Director and leader of the Avengers Intiative. But again, that still has yet to be determined.

As for Agent Hill, she will be returning for Cap 3:

As well as our favorite 'wingman' :

Now as for Mark Ruffalo:

Ruffalo was interviewed by Hollywood Reporter last month about the Hulk and what his future may be:

You and Robert Downey Jr. just finished shooting the next Avengers movie. Do you know what Marvel is planning for your Hulk character beyond that?

I don't really know what's happening in the whole Marvel universe. I know with the Hulk getting [his own new] movie, they went from an "absolutely no" to a "maybe" after Avengers. If all goes according to plan, then maybe one day there will be another Hulk movie.

Okay, with that statement, things seem a little grim. In order for Civil War to work, Ruffalo would almost HAVE to come back, as the Hulk was shot into space. Hence 'Planet Hulk'!

Planet Hulk has only been teased now, but I am hopeful that Disney and Marvel will make the right decision about Ruffalo returning and having his contract extended so Planet Hulk can be realized as a live action feature instead of just another direct-to-DVD animated release.

Jeremy Renner via The Daily Beast:

"I don’t know what’s going to happen. I know it’s going to start shooting in March. I haven’t had any official conversations about doing it or not."

Okay, so he has no idea whether or not he'll even have a role in it, and according to internet news reports, he hasn't even been approached yet.

So, to sum this all up: We are going to without fail be seeing a lot of major players in Captain America 3, but there also seems to be a lot decison-making being made concerning what is going to be done about the storyline and what they will be focusing on.

As it is, more rumors have been circulating that when Avengers 3 is ready to be made, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Mark Ruffalo will not be returning. In fact, the rumors go on to say that Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy (played by Dave Bautista) may be playing a major role within that film. But again, this still needs to be seen and verified. Once I know more, I'll definitely put that out there.

For now, all we can do is cross our fingers and hope that Civil War will be done properly considering how developed this story arc is.

Do you think 'Captain America 3' will still be as awesome after what you have just learned?
