As everybody is well aware, DC is trying to compete with Marvel's incredibly successful cinematic universe and though we know the lineup of movies they plan to release, many questions are still going unanswered. The one I will focus on is the big question of whether or not this DC cinematic universe will use their already established [Arrow](series:720988) and [The Flash](series:1068303) characters.

Arrow is a midst it's third season in which actor, Stephen Amell, has done a completely fantastic job with his role as Oliver Queen. The show itself has taken the superhero of the Green Arrow and remade him into a complete bad ass. Not only that but, it has given DC a reliable show in which they have been able to throw a plethora of their heroes and villains onto the screen.

Flash, on the other hand, is in it's first season and, so far, it has been decent. It may take a few more episodes to start really picking up the pace but, it has served a huge part by itself. It connected to the already popular show Arrow and they just had a two-night crossover series that helped skyrocket each of the show's ratings and had a strong following.

Now ,you may ask yourself, if these shows are doing so good and are well liked, how come there haven't been any announcements on whether or not DC plans to include these two characters in the Justice League? The thing is, nobody knows yet, but, there are a few things we can use to try and make judgement on what we believe.

Both of these shows are gaining a strong fan base, they have great character development and should be a shoe-in to the new universe but, it seems that neither Stephen Amell (Arrow) or Grant Gustin (Flash) will be in that Universe.

Sorry to break the bad news to you but, there is just too much evidence to point towards them staying on the small screen.

I'll start with the biggest point, 2018 has a brand new Flash movie coming out and there is a completely different actor playing the role of Barry Allen. This actor they chose is Ezra Miller, popularly know from Perks of being a Wallflower. Now to me, this makes no sense, they have this perfectly good TV show with an established character and you could still have a few more seasons before throwing him into the Justice League. Also, I do not want to sit through an hour of an origin story that I just watched a few years ago.

My next reason, DC, just a few days ago, signed a boat load of actors including Jared Leto, Will Smith, Tom Hardy, etc. for their upcoming Suicide Squad movie that is slated to come out in 2016. This almost completely rules out Arrow from being a part of the DC cinematic universe. This is because in the show, Arrow, there is already a group of actors that are in the Suicide Squad. With that said, if they incorporated Arrow into this universe, it would leave that awkward fact that there are two suicide squads. And even more weird, two (multi colored) Deadshots.

So far, there is no word on a Green Arrow in the DC Cinematic Universe so perhaps they could extract the character they have on the show and just make his timeline in the universe canon and discount his show.

That's pretty much all I have to say on this topic, I desperately would have liked to see these characters on the big screen but, it's extremely doubtful. I suppose only time will tell and answer the questions we have about the mysterious DC Cinematic Universe

There's my 2 cents

Do you believe Stephen Amell will reprise the role of Green Arrow in the DC Cinematic Universe?
