Dragonball Z fans were lucky enough to check out Dragon Ball: Xenoverse for an hour, when Bandai Namco held a livestream on Thursday the 4th of December. If you haven't checked it out yet, then now is your chance! The hour showed off almost all of the features of Bandai Namco's latest game, and boy does it look beautiful!
From the character creation to the battles themselves, this is shaping up to be a real success for Dragonball fans, who've felt their series hasn't been reflected well in the gaming sphere as of late. Let's take a quick look at what the livestream held in store for us and some of the awesome features we'll be enjoying when Dragon Ball Xenoverse is released on February 5th for Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC!
DragonBall: Xenoverse Livestream Recap on PS4 & Xbox One!
The only downside to this whole video is the rather ridiculous man they've elected to 'guide' the guy playing Xenoverse through the game. Jay clearly has no idea what he's talking about and places Brandon in some really awkward situations (and him asking the Cook bit?). But any way, enough of that, let's see what they've managed to show off.
First off, we naturally got a great look at the character customisation screen, where we'll be able to pick 5 different races to start with, Earthling, Saiyan, Namekian, Frieza (hasn't been shown off yet) and Majin. There seem to be a TON of options available for both the male and female variants of these races, making the prospect of creating your own character all that more exciting!
Once you launch into the game you are asked if you want your character to be more focused on melee or ranged based skills, with the third option being a mixture of both. What will you be selecting?

The storyline itself is superbly cool! You are a Time Patroller tasked with travelling to all of the battles that have disrupted by an evil entity in order to restore the balance to the world and its history. Awesome. There are also a bunch of side quests that the player can get caught up in!
As you play through the quest you will unlock characters from the DragonBall Universe, and you will also collect new abilities and outfits for each of them too! This lends a great deal of customisation for when your friends come round and engage with Local Multiplayer (which naturally isn't splitscreen).
Every character you play as utilises the same controls for their combos and special abilities, though the attacks are always different for each one. The amount of button combinations are seriously extensive from what this clip has shown us!
There's also a great moment in the livestream where they call one of the voice actors for the game as he performs some of the many accents that DBZ fans would know! So if you consider yourself a DragonBall Z fan and you're looking forward to DragonBall: Xenoverse, go ahead and check out the video below!
