Taking one quick glance at the game list for 2015 is enough to make any gamer jump with delight I mean, I feel as if my Christmas present is actually, well, next year!! The PS4 and Xbox One have yet to give us a great exclusive game (though the Xbox One is winning at the moment with Halo: Master Chief Collection and Sunset Overdrive).
Let's hope that Sony and Microsoft can live up to the promises that they've made with this next year in gaming! With Playstation Experience just gone, we know that Sony has plenty in store for us, but what is YOUR favourite candidate for best game of 2015?
From The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne, to MGS 5 and Arkham Knight!
The Game Awards and the Playstation Experience made it a great weekend to be a gamer! From the likes of The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne, to the glorious MGS 5 and even The Legend of Zelda, gamers were treated to some great new trailers and info over the weekend!
But with so much in store and so many varying categories, which title can you honestly say is the one you're looking forward to the most? The Game Awards named The Witcher 3, and you can't really blame them! The game is sensationally beautiful and promises a story that will last for probably a week full of hours!
Nintendo walked away with the best publisher award of 2014, showing up every leading developer that promised so much for those NextGen consoles. They stuck with their guns and released some great games for the 3DS and Wii U, namely Super Smash Bros. Wii U, my god what a game!!
They have no small list for 2015 either, with The Legend of Zelda, Starfox and Majora's Mask being the biggest titles they have on the way. Then we have Ubisoft, who will be desperately trying to win back people's attention after their AC Unity and The Crew fiasco (yep, The Crew is sensationally boring...Far Cray 4 on the other hand though is wonderful).
The Division will need to ensure that none of Ubisoft's recent server issues and wide array of bugs and glitches come anywhere near it if it wants to succeed. I do have hope for the title, though it is steadily dwindling.
Then we have Naughty Dog and their wonderful Uncharted 4, which they showed off on the weekend! The game is beautiful, huge and hopefully on par with The Last of Us! We shall have to wait and see how Nathan Drake's adventures fair in the last instalment. Check out the gameplay below if you haven't already!
Batman: Arkham Knight is set to make a splash in the Summer of 2015, finally putting all the speculation of who the Arkham Knight really is to rest! The gaming series will conclude with this final chapter of Rocksteady's achievement, a fitting time to bring in that Batmobile!
We also have Evolve to look forward to in February! We'll be able to play with all of our friends as we hunt down a giant monster together using our various techniques and weapons. Let's hope it lives up to great gaming mechanics its promoted!
But the two that I put on the top of my list, are From Software's Bloodborne and Kojima's stunning looking Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain! MGS 5 showed off its online features over the weekend, and it really was the highlight of the show for me. Not only does the trailer show off some of the great gameplay mechanics of MGS 5 but it's also so well cut together and features all of Kojima's trademarks in one short teaser!
Bloodborne of course looks sensational also, with its dark, brooding atmosphere and seemingly faster gameplay then the likes of Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2. There are also a massive host of Indie games that will be released throughout the year too, from No Man's Sky to Adrift and they all look amazing!
With all of these games on the way, I can see my man cave getting a lot of use this coming year...man that sounds weird. Let us know what you are looking forward to the most in 2015 in the comments and happy gaming!!
