Ok, so that might be a slight exaggeration, but it is true that Kurt Russell auditioned for the role of Han Solo in Star Wars. I recently came across the audition tape - where the Escape from New York star read a scene about the destruction of Leia's home planet - and thought you guys might be interested in taking a look to see what could've been.
This is certainly... different. I gotta say, I'm a big fan of Kurt Russell (Big Trouble in Little China, hello!) but this whole Han Solo impression is just too weird for me. Harrison Ford's portrayal of the smuggler-turned-hero is now so iconic that it's impossible to imagine anybody else in the role.
