Anger, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Joy have arrived to tug at your heartstrings and bring you laughter in this new trailer for Inside Out. See it right here:
After an extremely effective teaser just a few months ago, Pixar is back with another look at the inner workings of the human brain.
From the looks of the trailer, it seems like we will be getting multiple versions of the same characters; a fascinating concept indeed. We will not only get to see the inside of the teenage brain, but the adult brain as well. Concepts like adolescence and parenthood are sure to be given equal depth.
While this trailer has a mostly comedic feel to it, the thought of how the same emotions play out in different minds is sure to lead to some dramatic tension later on in the film.
I have heard a few people say this trailer was too similar to 2001's Osmosis Jones. However, the idea of physical beings living inside the body is a concept that has a lot of potential. While Osmosis Jones dealt with fighting bacteria and illnesses, Inside Out deals with the more cerebral concept of emotion, and how big of a role it plays a in our lives.
After a Pixar-less 2014, the critically acclaimed company will make its return to the big screen with what many are saying will be among their best films yet.
Inside Out is set for wide release in on June 19, 2015. Pixar fans: mark your calendars.
