Since Marvel announced that they planned on making [Captain America: Civil War](movie:994409) die hard comic book fans have questioned how a Civil War movie could be made with no Spider-Man because obviously Marvel/Disney do not own the rights to Spider-Man. For those that do not know Spider-Man is just as important to the comic book classic Civil War as Iron Man and Captain America. Now we have confirmation via leaked Sony emails that Marvel acknowledged the importance of Spider-Man in this epic story line. Not only did they want Spider Man for Captain America: Civil War but they also wanted him for the sequel. Of course, after failing to strike a deal with Sony, Marvel has still moved forward with Captain America: Civil War seemingly not caring about representing the story line the way they even feel it should be represented. Instead they are going to insert a character and hope no one notices or cares.

When Marvel announced that there would be a Captain America: Civil War it was clear that Marvel had found Spider-Man's replacement as Robert Downey, Jr. (Iron Man) and Chris Evans (Captain America) jokingly fought over Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) . They might as well play rock paper scissors in Captain America: Civil War as the epic battle finale in the movie if you are going to replace Spider-Man with Black Panther in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I like Black Panther but he is no Spider-Man and will not make the same type of impact of a Spider-Man in a Civil War movie. Mr. Fantastic played a vital role in the comic book classic Civil War; are they going to replace him with Dr. Strange? I hope I am not giving them ideas....

Marvel has definitely built a good cinematic brand but it is possible that this leaked email information could hurt Captain America: Civil War. We comic book fans always say the cinematic version will never be an exact replica of the movie but can we at least get the same characters as the comic. Please share your thoughts below.
