Firstly, for those of you who have not yet seen The Flash mid-season finale 'The Man in the Yellow Suit' , be warned as this article contains SPOILERS!

Good to go? Alrighty then, let me begin..

So after seeing the mid-season finale I was surprisingly not so surprised by the big reveal that Harrison Wells is the Man in Yellow. I mean yeah, sure Wells having one of the Flash rings was pretty cool (he also put it on his left hand, the opposite hand to Barry .. Nice touch writers!) and Wells attaching the tachyon device onto the Reverse Flash's suit may have made the watchers go "ooh" aswell as chills being sent down viewers spines when he said the line "Merry Christmas" in the Reverse Flash voice ..... but where was the element of surprise? Why wasn't I opened mouthed blankly staring at the screen for a solid 20 seconds after trying to process this huge reveal?

Because Harrison Wells being the villain is old news...

How all psychopaths smile.
How all psychopaths smile.

The writers of this fantastic show have shown us that they are not afraid of making bold moves and developing the story arc in a fast manner (I had to add that little pun.. Sorry), so that just leaves the question - Where will we see Eddie by the end of this season?

Now as fans of the comics would know Eddie's name is awfully similar to that of Eobard Thawne, also known as "Professor Zoom" and "Reverse-Flash". Aswell Eddie is first introduced working alongside Barry in the police department and is a friend to him , much like Hunter Zolomon, also known as "Zoom" and "Reverse-Flash", was to the Wally West Flash. So there is no doubt in my mind that one day Eddie will dawn the yellow suit and become the Reverse-Flash!

Hmm .. Yellow and red go rather well together.
Hmm .. Yellow and red go rather well together.

So with the back-half of season one continuing on in January , there's still plenty of time to develop Eddie's character. Who knows what he might have to face as he tries to close in on the Flash , as his relationship with Barry and Joe becomes strained due to his relationship with Iris and even as he now faces the new knowledge of Meta-humans living within Central City.

Something tells me that the writers still have a plot twist up their sleeves. They are holding something big back. Something tells me that Eddie will play a part of this. Maybe he will grow to hate the Flash so much to the point where he is driven to kill him. Maybe he will be a puppet in Harrison Wells plan to destroy the Flash.

And maybe he will learn about the Speed Force, how to use it and go back and kill Nora Allen?

Barry Allen: Who are you?
Reverse-Flash: You know who I am, Barry?
Barry Allen: I don't know who you are.
Reverse-Flash: But you do, Barry. We've been at this a long time, you and I, but I'm always one step ahead. It is your destiny to lose to me, Flash, just as it was your mother's destiny to die that night.

Now I'm not saying that Harrison Wells isn't the Reverse-Flash. I have no doubt that he is. What I'm trying to get across is that it doesn't seem to add up that he's going to be the only main villain this season. The writers are better than that.

No I think Eddie Thawne will be the one we see somehow enter the Speed Force. It will be him we see fighting the Flash. It will be him to go back and kill Barry's mother.

So who do you think is indeed the Reverse Flash we see kill Nora Allen?
