Tom Clancy's The Division is still lacking in the 2015 release date department for Xbox One and PS4 (and potentially PC too). Why is that, and if it had a release date, would it be delayed?

Ubisoft has already pushed their highly anticipated MMO The Division to 2015. According to a report, the game was nowhere near ready in May earlier this year! So if game development had barely started at that time, can we assume that they are running into a lot of issues with the latest Tom Clancy experience?!

Tom Clancy's The Division Delayed Again by Ubisoft?

The above quote came from an anonymous spokesperson within Ubisoft. The whole anonymous aspect of the statement was strange enough, and it was unfortunate that a game that looks so great has been delayed for so long. But if we take a look at Ubisoft's recent history, maybe they desperately need that time.

Bugs, glitches, server crashes, the works! You name it, every bad aspect of a game has been plaguing their recent titles this year. Far Cry 4 is an excellent game and an awful lot of fun! But I've been kicked out of my game twice for enabling online features while playing, and I've only selected that feature...well...twice!

The Crew is almost guaranteed to kick off you online during your daily drive around, and that's the only way you can play it. Cars glitch into one another and on and off the road. They even glitch into your car and knock you off the track, which is beyond annoying. And naturally, Assassin's Creed Unity's controversy doesn't even need mentioning, we know how bad that got.

Seeing as online really isn't there speciality and since all of these games have really displayed some awful bugs, my hope for The Division is continually decreasing. I feel I may not be alone on this one, and I so desperately want this game to succeed, it looks incredible!!

Tom Clancy's The Division was pushed all the way to 2015, with still no release date in sight. They clearly have a lot of unforeseen issues to iron out, as production has apparently progressed at a remarkably slow pace. Now, delays are nothing new these days though.

The Witcher 3, much to my dismay, has been delayed. Bloodborne, even more to my dismay, has been delayed. And then we have the likes of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain with no release date in sight to delay (so upsetting)!! Therefore, I'm sure that Ubisoft would have delayed the title once more had they stuck to their original date. I mean even The Crew was delayed and it's still awful!!

My fear is that we'll see this game get a release date for next year and its graphics are going to be scaled down and it'll still be riddled with bugs. Ubisoft can make some really great games, Far Cry 4 is excellent, Child of Light was beautiful and Valiant Hearts is an inspiration! I want to believe that Tom Clancy's The Division will be alright...but what proof do I have to go on?

What do you think is going to happen with the release date for Ubisoft's The Division on Xbox One and PS4? Let us know in the comments!
