Dead Snow 2: Red vs Dead is the sequel to the 2009 Norwegian horror-comedy Dead Snow. In the first movie a group of friends on a ski vacation stumble across a box of Nazi gold hidden in the floor of their cabin. When they remove the gold a platoon of Nazi zombies come back to life with two goals, recover the gold and kill anyone in their way.

Red vs Dead picks up just where the first movie left off. The lone survivor Martin, played by Vegar Hoel wakes in a hospital to learn that the arm he cut off has been replaced with the arm of the zombie Nazi leader. The arm has serious powers, besides super strength, with a touch of the hand it can bring the dead back to life. With help from the "Zombie Squad" (3 geeks) and an army of Russian zombies at his side Martin sets out to put an end to the Nazi zombies once and for all. Derek Mears (Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th) plays the role of the giant Russian (seen bellow in a red shirt). Dead Snow 2 is bigger and better than the first movie but both are a "must see"!

These movies are full of blood, gore, dark humor and it's completely awesome. Red vs Dead is a great movie to watch when you've had your fill of more serious zombie movies. I would recommend you see the movies in order but if you can't Red vs Dead gives enough back story that you will be able to watch with out being lost. Writer/Director Tommy Wirkola did a fantastic job with the film and both movies were well received at Sundance. Over all Red vs Dead was perfect for what it was meant to be.

If you're a zombie or horror fan I recommend you see Dead Snow 1 and 2 the first chance you get! Red vs Dead is now available on DVD and Blu-ray and is available in most stores and on the web. Be sure to check and see which language is listed on the copy you pick up, in most stores the English version is available.
