Let's just cut straight to the chase shall we?

Like many of you reading this, I am a big Marvel fan, and I've loved both Thor and Thor: The Dark World equally, so it only makes sense that I'm really excited for Thor 3: Ragnarok. Yet until yesterday, I actually had no idea what the title for the third installment of the trilogy would be! So naturally, I looked it up....

And obviously, I found out that the new movie shall be titled ' [Thor: Ragnarok](movie:956858)'. Okay, cool, but what the heck does Ragnarok mean? I was sure Google would have an answer - and it certainly did, but not one that I was really hoping for.

In Norse mythology, Ragnarök is a series of future events, including a great battle foretold to ultimately result in the death of a number of major figures (including the gods Odin, Thor, Týr, Freyr, Heimdall, and Loki), the occurrence of various natural disasters, and the subsequent submersion of the world in water. Afterward, the world will resurface anew and fertile, the surviving and returning gods will meet, and the world will be repopulated by two human survivors.

Wait, WHAT!?

So if they stick to the "plan," then Odin, Thor, Heimdall and Loki will all be killed off in Part 3? NO! Not only would it mean an extremely depressing ending to the Thor saga, but it will also mean the outrage of millions of die-hard Thor fans. Killing off four of the main characters? Yeah, how about we don't do that. I think I could deal with the death of Odin, possibly even Heimdall, but as far as I'm concerned, Thor and Loki need to stay in the game!

We've unfortunately got a FOUR year wait until Thor 3 comes out, so until then, I guess we'll have to keep our hopes up, keep on guessing, and in the meantime, enjoy [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035).

Anyway, how would YOU react if the four were to be killed off in Thor 3: Ragnarok? Be sure to let me know in the comments section below!
