I'm sure you have all heard about the negotiations between Sony and Marvel regarding Spider-man, and while many are hoping that Sony will give up the rights, there is now one major factor that has many fans in an outrage... MARVEL WILL RE-CAST SPIDER-MAN!

Yes, that is correct, Marvel are going to ditch Andrew Garfield! I for one am totally against the idea of firing Garfield as he is, in my mind, the perfect Peter/Spidey.

If, however, Marvel do decide to *gulp* get rid of Garfield, who would you like to see replace him? Here are my 3 (sort of) picks.

Josh Hutcherson

If Marvel are looking to go for the classic Geeky Peter look, then Hutcherson is their number one choice. He has that awkward nerdy look to him, just as Peter should have, and if put behind the mask, he could certainly play the charismatic Spidey!

Liam Hemsworth

Keeping on the Hunger Games streak, we have an actor who would play a completely different Peter as opposed to his Hunger Games co-star. Liam would be better suited as a college student Peter who has been at his game for quite some time now, and that would fit in with the whole Civil War storyline. Plus, there is no denying that he is a handsome actor, and that could possibly be a great gag during the movie. For example, Peter could not be used to girls being attracted to him which would bring a whole new dynamic to the movie.

Completely unrelated topic, but how cool would it be to see Liam and Chris (Thor) meet up on screen and have Spidey make a small tongue in cheek comment such as "Doth like a brother from another mother"
Just food for thought.

Zac Effron

Zac Effron can play it awkward/nerdy/sexy/flirty and very, very funny. Just the perfect ingredients for Spidey. On top of all that, he has the look and build for him. I for one would love to see him play our Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man!

Jake Gyllenhaal

If Marvel are to stay true to the Civil War storyline, then Spider-Man is a seasoned veteran. He is married, a full time Science Teacher/Avenger and even best buds with Tony Stark, so he has to be considerably older than Garfield's Spider-Man.

Gyllenhaal is a seasoned actor so he can most certainly handle the dramatic situations of Civil War. He has the look of an older Peter, and even had the body for it. But he is a wildcard after all, considering Marvel want the Spider-Man movies to focus on the troubles of teenage life.

Well, that was my choices, but what do you guys think?

Who would make a great replacement?
