Opening Note: I know that this Article is not movie related, but there are more and more new creators popping up here, and I thought I'd share. So, without further ado, I write this story of my past 2 years at MoviePilot.com!!!
With the Holiday season, millions of people gather around fireplaces or tables and fellowship, tell stories, drink eggnog, and stuff their faces full of delicious foods!! And in honor of the Holiday season. I have decided to share a story with you. Enjoy!
On January 7th, 2013, my Birthday, I was creating my Facebook account and setting up my "Favorite Movies" section. As I was adding every Marvel Movie, every DC movie, and etc., I stumbled across a page simply called "Superheroes" and this was the Cover photo.
I, of course, liked the page and instantly started reading articles. It was love at first sight. Before I figured out that I could write for Moviepilot, I was nothing more than just another consumer. But boy was that AWESOME!! During this "consumption I ran into a few things that have helped me come to who I am two years later. One of those things, was a Webseries that is the reason I watch YouTube. It was one guy and "his war to make your superhero movies, BETTER!!!". Will's War
Will's War was not the only AWESOME (in Will's voice) thing that Moviepilot introduced me to. Next on the List is a long spanned theory from one Jon Negroni. A theory that connects all of the Disney-Pixar movies, in one, shared universe
I was also introduced to the awesomeness of Honest Trailers, Ismahawk's Nightwing, fan theories, insane rumors and MORE!! But then I started writing...
My first Article was about the Deathstroke suit in Arrow. For the longest time, it was my most read article. 20 posts, 28k views (and yet only 3 followers??) later, I am writing this article about my story. I even am working on a fan Film called Robin: Legacy!!
But my story didn't end there! One day, I received a very friendly email about my writing from one Kat Bacon. She said that she loved what I had written and sent me a formal invitation to join the community of Moviepilot Contributors (now called "Creators" [So much cooler])!!! Since then, I've written more, read more, and even made a few friends (which is pretty big for me).
I learned from all of this that Moviepilot.com is not just a Movie News website, but it's a community. Not a closed community, but one that anyone can join! Doesn't matter where you live, or what you do, YOU can be a part of this AWESOME community. We have contests, polls, random conversations, and you even get rewarded for being creatively AWESOME!!!
And thanks to all who have made me feel welcome, especially Kat and Marco.
This is My Moviepilot Story!! What's yours??
Not a Creator? What are you waiting for??? Become a member of the community RIGHT HERE!!!
