We all love The Avengers. It was such a great moment, sitting in the theater to see a display of awesome power as Hulk ran rampant through the New York City streets. I would pay any amount of money to sit in a theater again and watch the Avengers take on Loki.

Now we have our watch them assemble. The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be like no other. It will blow minds, deliver stunning visuals, and it will be Marvel's finest. I'm sure of it.

But often we forget the magic behind the movies. It starts with Joss Whedon, the legend who brought [The Avengers](movie:9040) to the big screen. And now he's here to deliver one last time.

It has been confirmed that Joe and Anthony Russo will be directing Avengers 3: Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2. This means that Avengers 2 will be Joss Whedon's last.

In part it makes sense. The Russo brothers will be coming off a potential whammy with Captain America 3: Civil War. That movie is destined to make big bucks and will launch an entire row of new solo characters with their own movies. Then they'll be able to circle back and finish off the story with Avengers 3: Part 1 and Part 2.

Whether or not this will stay this way depends on the next few movies. Will [Captain America: Civil War](movie:994409) tank? Maybe we'll get Whedon back. On the other hand, if it goes beyond anything anyone has imagined, we could see the Russo brothers leading the Avengers saga for the next few years.

What do you think? Should Joss Whedon stay for Avengers 3?
