Since the release of Iron Man in 2008, superhero films have become a tradition for geeky fans worldwide. With the Marvel Cinematic Universe planning all the way to 2020, as well as the DC Cinematic Universe, I've decided to write about some of the upcoming films that probably are unlikely to happen, but would be a great surprise for those fans.
Axis is a comic series that featured one Avenger and one X-Man fighting together and having an adventure. This movie is probably the most likely one to happen for a few reasons.
The first reason is the fact that both Captain America and Wolverine have fought in wars. Who's to say they haven't met each other and became friends on the battleground?
The other reason is that maybe something happened involving Magneto taking over an Iron Man suit, causing anarchy and also causing [The Avengers](movie:9040) to team up with the X-Men to fight the somewhat unstoppable-but-has-been-stopped-before force that is Magneto.
If this were to be turned into a movie, one might ask if such characters like Gambit or Juggernaut, who have been featured in previous X-Men films, would be included.
With a Cyborg movie already being planned by DC, this movie is less likely than Axis. However, if this was to be turned into a movie, the actor who will play Cyborg in the upcoming film would likely return for this prequel or sequel or whatever it would be. Another problem with this is the fact that the Batman reboot would have to have some kind of a sidekick to play as Robin, so that the Teen Titans wouldn't just be superheroes you've probably never heard of. Um, Beast Boy!
Agents of SMASH
The original idea for this came to me while I was watching Disney XD's new-ish show Hulk and The Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Don't judge. Anyway, this movie would be cool because it would probably feature Mark Ruffalo returning as The Incredible Hulk, but also include She-Hulk and Red Hulk, but the question is who would play all those characters? Mark Ruffal-... wait, I'm not even thinking about him playing She-Hulk. That would be terrible.
Marvel Complete Crossover
OK, this is totally never ever gonna happen ever but the idea is still worth it. The first reason it wouldn't happen is the fact that you can't get all these actors onto the screen. I mean, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Michael B. Jordan, Chris Hemsworth, Hugh Jackman, Andrew Garfield, Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Jeremy Renner etc? Come on! It would be every fan's dream though. The second reason is that Fox and Sony own about a quarter of the heroes you'd want to see on screen together. That would mean no X-Men, no Fantastic Four, no Spider-Man, and no Punisher. And speaking of The Punisher...
Another Punisher Reboot
We haven't seen The Punisher on screen since 2008 in War Zone.
But if we were to see The Punisher on screen again for the first time in a long while (about 6 or 7 years), who would you pick to play The Punisher? The character is more of a darker person (which is totally surprising for Marvel Comics), so the actor has to be darker too. So somebody call Keanu Reeves or something quickly, like now. Please. I'll wait.
If you've seen the after credits scene in Blade: Trinity, then you know that Wesley Snipes survived the end of the film and is ready to kill vampires again. However, the movie also says that killing Dracula killed every single vampire, and so, that would mean there probably couldn't be another sequel. However a reboot might be good.
OK, maybe not.
A Darker Swamp Thing Reboot
OK, let's just admit it. The Swamp Thing really wasn't ever a humorous hero or villain or whatever the heck he is. That part aside, there has already been a Swamp Thing movie and a sequel to that, so this could happen, but the likeliness of it being unfunny is very low. I mean, come on! He's a swamp... thing. He's creepy and ew and makes teenage girls scream. Wait a minute, doesn't that sound familiar to you?
Thanks for reading my article, this was my first one ever made and I hope you enjoyed it. Check out the poll below to let me know which of these movies you'd prefer to see. If you have another choice than these, tell us in the comments. Good night everyone.
