Last time I made this, it was talking about how Sony could use it. Right now, I'm doing this as if Marvel Studios had the rights. While we're talking about rights, I began to get curious. Marvel wants a clean slate for Spider-Man and that seems to be why we haven't seen him yet. I've actually heard that they wanted him in Captain America 2. If they got the Fantastic Four and X-Men, would they want a clean slate too?
Before I get into it, let me introduce you to some of these other Spider-Men. Following my last article, this will be about them in the MCU. Assuming Marvel gets their way, Peter Parker will have to be recast.
Drake Bell as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Most people remember him from Drake and Josh. I love that show! That is me and my step brother! Why Drake Bell? He voices Spider-Man in Ultimate-Spider-Man on Disney XD and has been doing it since 2012. Needless to say, he does a good job at it. He also has 'the Peter Parker" look to him. That, and on the show, he has already interacted with the Spider-Men. Even the Avengers! I honestly think he his getting perfectly groomed to be Spider-Man.
Donald Glover as Miles Morales/Spider-Man
He doesn't look 31 does he? Same as Drake Bell, he voiced Miles Morales on the episode featuring the character. Miles Morales is really young. 13 or 14. Glover voiced him pretty well and I'm pretty sure he could play him in the MCU no problem.
I don't always pick the voice actor to be the actual actor but when I do, I make sure it works. You'll find Miles Morales in the Ultimate comics is where he coexisted with Peter Parker. In the show, Peter Parker was dead, but Morales was still around.
Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099
I'm not really sure who should play him, but Miguel O'Hara is a cool Spider-Man! In the year 2099 in another dimension, Miguel is your Spider-Man. Similar to Batman Beyond with future tech. 2099 was also in the game Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions. If I'm not mistaken, Miguel O'Hara is one the characters that a race change wouldn't hurt. The same is true for Iron Fist, for which an Asian actor is reportedly being looked at to play. It makes perfect sense actually, given his powers.
Seeing as this is another Peter Parker, Drake Bell would be him. Voice him at least. #stunddouble. Noir is the more Batmanish Spider-Man. All black, stealth, but there's like no color in this dimension. It takes place in the past too. I want to say the 40's and 50's, but I'm not sure. This just got me thinking that Spider-Man would have to go to more versions of himself too. So Toby Miguire and Andrew Garfield could play Spider-Man one last time if that happened.
Last time I said that Spider-Ham wouldn't be taken seriously, so basically don't bother. Well.....Rocket Raccoon isn't too different in this aspect. If Marvel really wanted to, they could make him work. Where Spider-Ham comes from, his world is Sly Cooperized as I like to call it (meaning everyone is some kind of animal. No humans).
Now there are many many more, but I just wanted to get a few of them out. I think these are the main ones.
As for getting them into the MCU? Here we go.
- Doctor Strange is the go-to for dimensional travel. In his movie, have him with the Eye of Agomotto and looking over dimensions and have us see a Spider-Man as one of the dimensions he glances at.
- Thanos is mad powerful. Spider-Man would have to already know about these Spider-Men to go to them for help with Thanos.
That concludes my MCU Spider-Verse. Whaddya think?
Now for my random question
