Rockstar are one of the greatest gaming developers on the planet and they have a lot of successful franchises. If you had to pick a game that would receive a release date for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC, would it be Max Payne 4, Red Dead Redemption 2 or GTA 6?!
With so many choices at hand, it can be difficult to pick a game that we'd like to see Rockstar develop next. Red Dead Redemption is still one of the best games I've ever played, L.A. Noire was a great game with an inciting story, Max Payne 3 featured some of the best combat in any game in the 21st Century and GTA V is a marvel. But where are they going next? Time to vote!!
GTA 6, Red Dead Redemption 2 or Max Payne 4, Vote for Rockstar's Next Game!
Max Payne 4
Let's take a look at good old Max first. I find myself playing Max Payne 2 at the moment, after having picked it up in a store for $4 over the weekend! Aaaawesome. Gotta love that backward playing PS3. This gaming series has created some of the greatest combat scenarios we've ever seen and the reviews for the franchise have been incredible.
IGN actually had this to say when the game was initially released:
Aside from the constipated look on the guy's face, we all loved how Max Payne played out. It's dark story of so many twists and turns was exciting and continually engaging. I for one would love to see a return to this series, Max Payne 3 came out of nowhere for me. I had no idea they were making it and then saw some footage that blew me away. I'd love to see Max Payne 4 on Xbox One and PS4!
Would you vote for Max Payne 4?!
Red Dead Redemption 2
Literally, one of the greatest games ever made. I still regard Red Dead Redemption as Rockstar's greatest achievement, with GTA V just clipping at its heels. The world, the characters, the narrative, the gameplay (and one of the greatest DLC pacs of all time: Undead Nightmare). I couldn't get enough of this game when it first came out and I don't think I'll ever sell my copy.
Red Dead Redemption 2 would offer us a return to a world of mayhem and horse-back riding that we all crave. But are Rockstar actually interested in making it? They set the game at the end of the Cowboy era, signalling that the railway was bringing modernity to this wild landscape. Would it make sense to make a sequel? Could they conjure up a story about a guy who doesn't want to leave this lifestyle in the past? Let us know what you'd like to see in Red Dead Redemption 2!
AH, the fans do love their GTA. There are even those that complain when Rockstar attempts to make a game outside of the GTA framework! But let's face it, it would get pretty boring if they just started churning them out like Ubisoft does with Assassin's Creed! We love their originality and long production times. Because, let's face it, they deliver every time! And GTA V has given us enough for years to come.
But still not satisfied? You want more insanity in GTA 6?! Don't blame you! We want a bigger world, different locations to travel to, more characters, first person, the works! It's going to be a sensation when it happens! Let us know what you want from Rockstar in the comments and voting poll!
