Clean off your dusty arcade sticks and get memorising your Super Combos Street Fighter fans - a brand new game is incoming!

Capcom's classic fighting game series is back with Street Fighter V, and it's coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4 and PC! Adam Boyes, VP of Publisher & Developer Relations at PlayStation, confirmed that:

PS4 will be the only console this game ever appears on.

Yep, you heard that right Xbox owners - unfortunately it looks like you won't be seeing this screen anytime soon...

The first ever match of Street Fighter V was played live in front of a packed-out audience of super-fans at the Capcom Cup tournament event - and it looks like a real step up from the last game!

Street Fighter mainstays, Ryu and Chun-Li, duked it out in a riveting one-on-one battle that went to the third and final round.

You'll want to check out some of the highlights:

Smashed to Pieces

Destructible environments continue from the last game, as we see Ryu pummel his opponent through a wall! As Nigel Thornberry would say, 'Smashing!'

A Whole New Stage

What's so awesome about the interactive environments is that the stages actually open up to whole new, previously unseen areas! In the second round, the fighters move into a second room, after Chun-Li is thrown through its entrance. It seems like fights are set to be a lot more dynamic than we've previously seen!

Noodle Head

Ryu's relentless onslaught lands Chu-Li in a rather sticky spot, as seen above. I'm sure every stage will be packed with these awesome little easter eggs, giving players even more ways to humiliate their opponents!

A Real Kick in the Teeth

Chun-Li unleashes a devastating Ultra Attack in revenge, slowing the action down to show every ripple in Ryu's now less than perfect cheek bones.

You can watch the match in full below to see exactly how it ends:

A Returning Character?!

After the match ended Capcom unveiled an extended version of the trailer shown at the Playstation Experience, which was largely the same as before except for one major detail!

We got a quick glimpse at this bespectacled blondie...

If i'm not mistaken, that looks a lot like Charlie Nash, first introduced in Street Fighter Alpha.

Watch the trailer below and let me know what you think:

Sony's Continued Dominance

Street Fighter V joins a long list of hugely anticipated PS4 exclusive titles, including No Man's Sky, The Order: 1886, Bloodborne and Uncharted 4! A year after their release, the console race is still tight, but it looks like 2015 will be a decisive year in the epic battle between PS4 and Xbox One.

After this news, it looks like Microsoft have got a bit of catching up to do!
