Unbelievably, it’s been 28 years since Vern Tessio, played by Jerry O’Connell, uttered the words, “Hey guys, wanna go see a dead body?” to his rapscallion gang of school friends in the charming cult classic Stand By Me.

Based on Stephen King’s novella, The Body, the film tells the story of four inseparable friends on a quest to find the corpse of a missing 12-year-old over the summer of 1959.

What follows is a sweet, often funny, and ultimately heartwarming tale of childhood melodramatics and maturing relationships - a true ‘coming of age’ story.
