So as you have probably heard by now, Marvel has been in talks with Sony to get back the movie rights to Spider-Man. We know this because of all the leaked e-mails coming out of the Sony hack. We got a lot information on what Sony is thinking about doing with the wall crawler. I'm going to go through all the possibilities that were mentioned, and what we know about them.

1. Give Him Back to Marvel

Spider-Man in Civil War
Spider-Man in Civil War

Marvel originally wanted Spider Man back for Civil War, but from what we can see in the e-mails that doesn't look like its going to happen. Don't loose hope though, there still seems to be a possibility that we could see Spidey in the MCU. With all the problems Sony is having with Spider-Man it isn't hard to see them just sell the rights back to Marvel or maybe even loan him out for a few movies. The sad part about that deal is that we would no longer see Garfield as the wall crawler. You can say all the bad things you want about the latest Spider-Man films but I think he was the best part of them. He made the character more fun and more relatable. I do see why Marvel would want to distance themselves from those movies but it would be hard to see another new spidey in such a short time. What do you guys think? I know I would love to see Spidey in the MCU, and I'm Guessing a lot of you would.

2. Reboot.... Again

So another idea being tossed around is just starting over again. The Russo brothers have pitched themselves to the Sony heads as producers for the next Spider-Man movies. Their one condition being that it would have to be a total reboot. In this scenario they would do a new casting and focus much less his parents and his origin. They would want to focus more on the idea of him just being a teen in High School trying to deal with having these powers. They have been discussing a few villains including Venom, Carnage and Hobgoblin. This is probably my least favorite option because doing another reboot in such a short period seems dangerous to me because if they Sony screws up a second time they could really damage Spider-Man's reputation. I would understand rebooting him in the Marvel Universe but keeping him stand alone just doesn't make sense to me. Well that just my opinion let me know what you guys think in the comments.

3. Keep on Keeping on

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The third option is to just keep going with the franchise as is. They are going to jump right back into it with the Sinister Six, which according to the e-mails would have Spidey teaming up with the six to stop an even bigger threat. The bigger threat looks like its going to be Venom. The movie would most likely start out with Spider-Man in his black suit fighting the Sinister Six and then getting rid of it, and then teaming up with the six to stop whoever gets it next. It seems a little bit of a stretch because of how many villains would be in the movie. Look at Spider-Man 3, that only had three villains in it and it was hard for them to get it right.

Well that's all we know right now. So what do you guys think is the best option here, should Sony keep going, reboot, or get out while they can. Let me know what you guys think in the comments.
