Dragon Ball: Xenoverse will be released for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC on February 5th, 2015. It shows a serious amount of promise and that's not just for Dragon Ball Z fans, but can DBXV rise up to be the best fighting game of 2015?!
There have been a great deal of disparaging Dragon Ball Z fans in recent years in terms of the dreadful outpouring of lacklustre Dragon Ball games. But at long last, it seems that Bandai Namco might be on to something great with Dragon Ball: Xenoverse! Could it finally make a great name for itself on NextGen? Let's take a look!
Dragon Ball: Xenoverse - Best Fighting Game of 2015
It may seem like a task that's too difficult for a Dragon Ball game to accomplish; best fighting game of the year. But there really hasn't been a great one since Capcom's Super Street Fighter 4 for me, that was until Nintendo released Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U last month, what a game!
But let's look at the competition first, just for a frame of reference. The big and most popular fighting games that are on the way next year are Mortal Kombat X, Tekken 7, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and Dead or Alive 5: Last Round! Some pretty tough competition going on between fighting games themselves next year!
Out of that list above I have my bets placed on Mortal Kombat X! I mean have you seen those fatalities?! I'm also highly intrigued by the dominant presence that interactions with the environment seem to have in the game. It'll be tough for Dragon Ball: Xenoverse to beat it, do you think it could happen?

DBXV has the option of allowing the player to create their own character, and on top of that, you'll have a brand new story to delve into! The battles are enormous with all new facial animations and increased control placed into the hands of the player. It looks like a seriously good fighting game.
I'm certain that it's going to look great on the Xbox One and PS4, but do people place a lot of faith in the Dragon Ball games? Has it been too long since there's been a good one? Even so, I really feel like this could be a return to form and a welcoming step in the right direction for the future of NextGen consoles.
What do you guys think? Could Dragon Ball: Xenoverse become the greatest fighting game of 2015?! Let us know in the comments!
