A new series that I have recently been working on, in anticipation of the release of the new Star Wars film, Episode VII The Force Awakens. I did these illustrations to capture the feel of each current Star Wars movie, and styled them as posters for the films. Enjoy!

The Phantom Menace poster features one of the high points of the film: the pod race, specifically the face-off at the end between Sebulba and a young Anakin Skywalker. It is this race that wins Anakin his freedom, and sets him on his path to becoming a Jedi Knight.

Attack of the Clones
Attack of the Clones

The Attack of the Clones poster shows the clone troopers making their first appearance on Geonosis, to aid the struggling Jedi in their fight against the Separatist droid army. The Jedi in the image are (from left to right) Kit Fisto, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Revenge of the Sith

There is nothing more definitive about Episode III than the climactic battle between Anakin and Obi-Wan, once friends, now enemies in a fight to the death. This poster captures the harsh, volcanic surface of Mustafar, the glowing blue lightsabers in stark contrast to the ashen sky and molten rock.

A New Hope
A New Hope

A New Hope, as the first Star Wars film, is defined by its hero, Luke Skywalker. From humble beginnings, Luke travels the galaxy to become a Jedi, taking him from his homestead on Tatooine to systems far far away. This image shows where Luke's journey started, like his father before him.

The Empire Strikes Back
The Empire Strikes Back

Widely considered to be the best of the saga, Empire features many iconic moments in the series, and contains perhaps the most famous movie quote of all time. Its opening act sees the rebel base in the Hoth system attacked by the Empire, and the battle between the Imperial AT-AT walkers and the Rebel Snowspeeders is simply unforgettable.

Return of the Jedi
Return of the Jedi

Jedi is the conclusion to the series so far, and is centered around the moon of Endor, where the second Death Star has been constructed in secret, protected by a shield generator on the moon's surface. In this tense scene, Han, Luke, Leia, R2-D2 and C-3PO must bluff their way past the Death Star in order to land on Endor to destroy the generator.
