Ant-Man is known to be the movies that ends the Marvel's Phase II. Also, the character Ant-Man is known to be one of the founders of the Avengers, at least in the comics.
But how will this be translated in the movie?
A recent scoop says that the flashbacks/scenes which will take place in the past will see a young Hank Pym meeting with Howard Stark, Peggy Carter and Thaddeus Ross – the latter being the father of Betty Ross, who is Bruce Banner’s girlfriend. This is rumored to be the connection between Ant-Man and the Avengers.
Furthermore, Thaddeus Ross will unite with Tony Stark during the Civil War – it is easy to suspect what position will have the General during these events. Furthermore, the same scoop says that Black Widow will be imprisoned during the Civil War, which will prompt the new Ant-Man Scott Lang to break her out of prison using his suit.
It makes sense – what we know about the old Hank Pym is that he hates superheroes. This means that he will too side with Tony Stark, which eventually will put him on a collision with the new Ant-Man. If in the comics Scott Lang steals the suit from Hank, in the movies their conflict (if it could be called so) will be of a different nature.
And now a different rumor – Ultron, in the comics, is the creation of Hank Pym. In the movie, we know that he is a Cold War program. Could this be another connection?
