Now as we all know, about 2-3 years ago Toonami returned to Cartoon Network’s late night programming block Adult Swim, bringing most of our childhood’s back. It first hit our TV screens with amazing anime on March 17th, 1997 Toonami I gave us great shows like Dragon Ball, Big O, Gundam Wing, and Outlaw Star; Toonami brought a whole new generation of kids with this new anime craze.

The block brought us back some of the good classics that they aired before the block closed down back in 2008. They are currently airing Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball z Kai, Big O, Fullmetal Alchemist, and a couple of others i forgot about, but are there any anime they are missing out on ? here are 5 anime Toonami should air on their block that have never been seen on the block.

1. Future Diary

Now to start off with this one this one would real in the Toonami freaks and crazy horror fans! im a anime freak and horror fan and when you put the two together you have gained my love hahah just kidding , but in all seriousness this show is about a boy (Yuki) he has entered a game involving cell phones that have future diary entries that tell you well “the future” he must fend off other diary holders that are trying to kill each other to claim the title to become god alongside the crazy fudging yuno girl who is so psychotic and whom protects and loves Yuki. Now i don't wanna spoil anything , but Toonami please get your hands on this to please!

2. Samurai Champloo

Original Anime Run - May 19, 2004 through March 19, 2005 (26 episodes)

Ok back in July i was bored one day and was like hey are there any anime dealing with like the hip hop culture or beats ? i saw Samurai Champloo saw the Main Character(Mugen) on google images and thought to myself hey sick afro and such so i looked up episode 1 watched an wasnt dissapointed. The anime was really funny and reminded me of Adult Swims Boondocks a lot! It follows three characters as they set out a journey together to find the samurai who smells of sunflowers. Sounds dumb, but really this anime was fun to watch had a lot of humor another thing i'm Half African American and Hispanic and a lot of black people i know that are not anime fans love this anime! This anime aired back in the day on Adult Swim maybe 2005-2006. The new generation of anime fans would truly love this and old fans. Space Dandy just ended and some people need something that has the same tone of that anime also. So Toonami if you're reading this please air this on your block soon!

3. Fairy Tail

Original Anime Run - October 12, 2009 & Ongoing (215 episodes not all dubbed)

I'm not a huge fairy tail fan because its a lot of fan service sometimes, but its good in the beginning Toonami would get hate and some good out of this. Some say its like a copy of One Piece its not though its really different. It involves Guilds, Magic, and a lot of fan service and action hahaha. Natsu the Main Character will have you laughing, crying, and fudging your pants. I can see Toonami putting the first couple seasons on the block, but seasons 9 and up idk just pick up the first couple of seasons Toonami and it’ll do great.

4. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

Original Anime Airing - April 2, 2006 through July 2, 2006 & April 3, 2009 through October 9, 2009 (28 episodes)

When i first feasted my eyes on this anime i thought to myself oh my lord not another slice of fudging life bore festival, but i saw some clips on Youtube and thought to myself hey the Main Character, Kyon has the same mindset on life as me. He gives up on believing the supernatural and crazy stuff in movies that he dearly wants to happen in his life, but when he meets Haruhi Suzumiya all that changes they unreal becomes real. I don’t want to spoil anything, but this really is a anime Toonami should get on if you're a crazy anime fan you sure will love this. Sure Toonami would be skeptical to put this anime on the air , but with the crazed fans of this anime im sure Toonami would have no trouble getting mad views if set up for the right time on the block.

5. Gun X Sword

Original Anime Run - July 4, 2005 through December 26, 2005 (26 episodes)

This anime is not real known it has that Cowboy Bebop and Trigun feel to it and to top it off has some mecha thrown into it. I didn’t really finish it ,but it stars Van (The Main Character) trying to find the man who killed his bride. It has the Big O feel to it also. It could be something good for Toonami to end the block off with. Not really a known anime like i said but Toonami could change that.
