Some say the world will end in zombies, some say in robots. Me personally, I'd prefer the shambling undead over Skynet, because at least I'd know what to do thanks to [The Walking Dead](series:201193).

But if our robot overlords were like the ones in this video, I'm not sure I'd mind. Because these robots will now forever be awesome to me. Why? Because they got themselves together, made a little robot orchestra, and played the theme song to [Doctor Who](series:200668). The tribute was part of the Royal Institution's Christmas Lectures, and the finished product was truly unique.

If you look closely, you can spot a printer, drone, laptop, and Theremin all being used as instruments - including a few actual human musicians thrown in for good measure.

The result was an appropriately eerie, electro-sounding cover that befit the enduring sci-fi theme song. Considering all the Doctor's battles with various robots over the years, I like to pretend this was a gift from the good robots of the universe to the Time Lord.

Cybermen are still the worst, though.
