Moving on and into the New Year, I wanted to do a quick post to celebrate some of the hottest, yes, the HOTTEST YA Characters/Stars to hit our screens this year! Whether it be on TV, or in Film, here's a list for you to fangirl over, swoon for, stare at, drool over and generally become obsessed with! So without further ado, let's jump in!

Dylan O'Brien/Thomas (The Maze Runner)

*swoon*
*swoon*

Dylan's a man of many talents, if you've seen any of his old YouTube vids from before he was famous, then you're already well aware of this! His role in both Season 4 of MTV's "Teen Wolf" this year AND his first lead role in a movie as Thomas in the adaptation of James Dashner's "The Maze Runner", has simply given him the opportunity to show off his talents even more! You go Dylan! We love you and FYI, we're HUGE fans of the recent stubble you've been rocking! It's driving us all kinds of CRAAAZY!

Where to see him next: Season 5 of "Teen Wolf" - which should be coming next year, "The Scorch Trials" - second installement in The Maze Runner Film Series.

Ansel Elgort/Augustus Waters (The Fault in Our Stars)

Ok, seriously, this one arm up thing *faints*
Ok, seriously, this one arm up thing *faints*

Ansel Elgort, quirky and fun star of "The Fault in Our Stars" and brother to Tris in "Divergent", is essentially, the perfect guy. He's hot as hell, whilst still being adorable and dorky as hell, and he made us all cry absolute buckets this year with his role as Gus in TFIOS. He played the role perfectly, there are thousands of us who will never recover from it! *sobs*

Where to see him next: His latest film was "Men, Women & Children" - not sure if it's still in cinemas, but if not, you'll be able to catch the DVD soon enough. "Insurgent" - the second installment in the Divergent Film Series.

Jamie Blackley/Adam (If I Stay)

He may be wearing guyliner, do we care? No *swoon*
He may be wearing guyliner, do we care? No *swoon*

We may have not have enjoyed the disaster that was this film, but there's no denying the attractiveness of Jamie Blackley. Especially as he sang and played guitar with his band, and worked his puppy dog eyes on Mia.

Where to see him next: I'm not entirely sure what other projects Blackley has in the works, but you can always re-watch the movie with the mute button on and just look at him I guess.

Dominic Sherwood/Christian Ozera (Vampire Academy)

The eyes, his eyes, look at his eyesssss
The eyes, his eyes, look at his eyesssss

I feel like I could just easily leave this here, and move on to the next. His face really speaks for itself, doesn't it? Dominic Sherwood, British newcomer, gained himself an army of loyal fangirls the second he was cast as fire-wielding Vampire Christian Ozera in "Vampire Academy" this year. The movie may not have done too well, but the world is in agreement that Sherwood was one of the movie's shining beacons. He set our hearts ablaze with his portrayal of the much-loved character, and also, you know...the two-tone eye colour thing.

Where to see him next: Sadly, I don't know if Sherwood has any other projects he's currently working on, but with good looks and charm like his, I'm sure he'll be on to great and wonderful things very soon....I mean Ian Somerhalder's gotta take a break sometime right? Replace one blue-eyed hottie with another?

Liam Hemsworth/Gale Hawthorne (The Hunger Games Film Series)

Those Hemsworth brothers though..
Those Hemsworth brothers though..

I mean, if we're being honest, someone really needs to stop those Hemsworth brothers, because they're too hot to both be in the industry at the same time. Hemsworth of course is popular for playing Gale Hawthorne, in "The Hunger Games" films. Up until now, his characters not been all that interesting, but with the series drawing to a close, starting with Mockingjay Part 1, out last year, his characters on to some big things.

Where to see him next: In "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" out later this year - the final installment in The Hunger Games Film Series.

Ki-Hong Lee/Minho (The Maze Runner)

Ahhh Minho <3
Ahhh Minho <3

Ki-Hong Lee, the hottie best known for playing Minho in last years, "The Maze Runner" is one of my favourites on this list. He mesmerized me slightly in the movie, because his skin looked so smooth (*creep voice*), but he's also an extremely talented actor, and very easy on the eyes.

Where to see him next: In "The Scorch Trials" - the second installment in "The Maze Runner" Film Series.

Danila Kozlovsky/Dimitri Belikov (Vampire Academy)

Dimka <3
Dimka <3

Danila Kozlovsky, the hot Russian Actor that took on the role of Dimtri Belikov last year in "Vampire Academy" is pretty much the love of every VA Fan's life. He's hotter than hot, he's an award-winning and brilliant actor in his native Russia, and becomes adorably shy when doing interviews in English - which, you know, just makes us love him even more. He has a beautiful accent, he grew out his beautiful hair for the role of Dimtri, and is essentially just the most perfect person in the entire world. Like, ever.

Where to see him next: This one's a little tricky as VA was his first, and seemingly last movie in English. He does a lot of theatre work, and all of his movies are in Russian, but if you're interested in staying up-to-date, I'd recommend giving him a follow on Twitter to see what he's up to next.

Josh Hutcherson/Peeta Mellark (The Hunger Games Film Series)

Look at his widdle face!
Look at his widdle face!

I can't even begin to say what a brilliant job he's done with Mockingjay, if you saw the film, then you know exactly what I'm talking about. He was amazing, and he broke my heart. He's played the part of Peeta in these films so perfectly, and his adorable little face and loveable personality just make it that much worse when his character's going through a hell of a lot of stuff. We love his character, and we love him, and I can't wait for Mockingjay Part 2!

Where to see him next: In "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" - out later this year.

Theo James/Tobias "Four" Eaton (Divergent)

The fangirls/fanboys love you
The fangirls/fanboys love you

Theo James is a British actor who most of us Brits know as the jackass in "The Inbetweeners Movie", he also had a role in "Underworld: Awakening" but became a worldwide hearthrob when he was cast as Four aka Tobias Eaton in "Divergent". He played the tough as nails Dauntless member, and amassed a huge following of fangirls along the way. He's also hot. And he kicks ASS.

Where to see him next: In "Insurgent" - the second installment in the Divergent Film Series.

Tyler Hoechlin/Derek Hale (Teen Wolf)

Marry me? Please? Now?
Marry me? Please? Now?

As the last man on our list, it seems fitting that I round this off kind of in the way I began. With a Teen Wolf actor. Aside from O'Brien, Hoechlin is the only TV Actor and Character to make the list, and there's a very good reason for that. One, this list was getting too long and I form attachments to fictional characters all too quickly and could easily have mentioned the entire cast of TVD, The Originals, Reign etc. Two, because I genuinely feared that after the last season of Teen Wolf, we would see no more Derek. Jeff Davis, Executive Producer and writer of the show, lead us all to believe our favourite werewolf was DYING, and then completely threw a curveball when we realised, little old Derek was EVOLVING.

He's now even MORE of a badass, and still has the death-like "Hale Stare" indicitive to the Hale family to go along with it. With Braedon at his side (I ship that couple so damn hard) I can't wait to see what's in store for him next season!

Where to see him next: In "Teen Wolf" Season 5!

And that's it!

Do you agree with this list? Got someone else in mind? Let me know in the comments when you've finished drooling over your favourite!
