We all know deep down in the dark canals of horror movie history, there are a few that unfortunately fall through the cracks and aren't appreciated as they should. Also I'm a new author here so go easy on me, but here are my top 5 most underrated horror movies, enjoy folks!

5. I Know What You Did Last Summer

Good thing she ate shit, 7 years of bad luck babe..

Okay, let me start this by saying this is one of the first horror movies I remember being showed growing up, and to this day, it's one of my favorites. Due to the amount of success the Scream franchise received, IKWYDLS, in my eyes anyway, lost a lot of the credit it deserved. Who doesn't love a good "hit and run/killer shows up one year later" horror movie?! Jennifer Love Hewitt is and will forever be one of my favorite scream queens, along with Sarah Michelle Gellar, so obviously a movie with the two of them would be stellar.

Best Death Scene : Sarah Michelle Gellar's amazing chase/tire stabbing definitely took the crown.

4. The Last House on the Left (2009)

Why do bitches always open the door for people?!
Why do bitches always open the door for people?!

I must admit I do love the original classic, however, this is one of the better horror remakes out there. The whole updated gist was something this tale of revenge needed. Despite its pretty intense rape scene, this remake is a blood bath that was simply forgotten about. To this day I still get excited when that microwave gets turned on!

Best Death Scene: Head in microwave. Without question.

3. Jennifer's Body

"I need you hopeless."
"I need you hopeless."

Diablo Cody did a fantastic job bringing her witty dialogue to the horror scene in this sexy scary romp. If there's one decent lesson this movie can teach anyone, it's to make sure you are actually using a virgin when making a sacrifice to Satan. The clever jokes and the lack of taking itself seriously make this one a cult classic.

Best Death Scene: Hate to admit it, but Megan's deserved death at the end of the film always satisfies my inner movie anger.

2. Sorority Row

THETA PI MUST DIE!
THETA PI MUST DIE!

"It's all fun and games until someone gets stabbed with a tire iron." Another slasher that goes along the lines of my top entry, this is definitely a more stylized and 'pimped out' version. I'm obviously partial to all the gorgeous ladies they cast as the bitches of the infamous sorority, Theta Pi. The acting may leave a bit to be desired at times, but with the unique kills and bitchy coeds, I'm loving it.

Best Death Scene: Wine bottle shoved down the throat really tops it all. Ouch.

1. House of Wax (2005)

At least the theaters quiet.
At least the theaters quiet.

Another horror remake that certainly got booted after some negative critic reviews, but this film will always be one of my favorite slashers. Not that this movie is totally complex or different than most other slashers out there, but it does have impressive death scenes and one creepy killer. Elisha Cuthbert is a bad ass bitch who keeps kicking ass even after getting her finger clipped clean off, and her lips crazy glued together. That's dedication folks.

Best Death Scene: Paris Hilton does something right with the pole through the head
