Before I begin I just want to state that there are spoilers from the first six movies scattered around in this article; so if you haven’t seen the movies yet don’t read this. Actually, if you haven’t seen the movies yet go watch them NOW! Thank me later.

With The Force Awakens coming out at the end of the year I just had to do what any Star Wars fan would do, watch all six movies in a week. Watching episodes 1-3 and seeing the creation of the greatest villain EVER might have ruined my excitement for [Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens](movie:711158). Don’t get me wrong, I am beyond excited to see what happens with Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewy, but I think there’s something I would much rather see. If we got to see the forming of everyone’s favorite villain why haven’t we gotten to see the formation of the greatest Jedi? That’s right: WE NEED A YODA MOVIE.

Now I understand that three more movies on what happens after the death of Vader is what needs to be done for the Star Wars franchise. It’s going to bring in the most profit, allowing for another trilogy; and the fact that they brought back the same actors from the original trilogy is absolutely, in every way, the most amazing thing that could have ever happened. But, in an alternate world where everything works the way I want, I would’ve loved for a Yoda solo film to have come out some time in the last 10 years since Revenge of the Sith. Just thinking about how Yoda, who could barely walk in any of the movies, could still fight with the best that the evil empire had and never lose a battle, just imagine what he could do while he was young.

With that being said I really hope after episodes 7-9 they find time to throw in a Yoda movie. No need for returning actors when Yoda can be completely CGI’d. Even if they’re not planning on making a solo film it’d be nice to at least see some flashbacks of Yoda being young enough to walk without a cane beating up some dudes without breaking a sweat. In the words of the greatest Jedi, “Do or do not, there is no try.” Young Yoda needs to be done, one way or another.
