It was announced last year that we would be seeing an extended cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past featuring Rogue, who was the focus of a side story that was cut from the film before hitting cinemas and was not included on the original Blu-ray release.

Details on Rogue's storyline below:

The scene involves Magneto and Iceman rescuing Rogue from a mutant concentration camp so that she can absorb Kitty Pryde's powers and take over as the anchor for Wolverine's time travel adventures.

Now VP of Marketing Communications for Fox Home Entertainment, James Finn, has revealed via Twitter that we will be seeing the 'Rogue Cut'...

But that isn't all that Mr. Finn revealed!

When asked if the "Rogue Cut" would include the original cut of Day of Future Past, he replied...

So if you, like me, purchased DOFP already on Blu-ray, DVD or Digitally, you won't be purchasing the same thing with just a couple minutes of extra footage like some other releases.

A "distinct" film with new special features?! No doubling up?!

No actual date has been announced for the release aside from sometime in the Summer of 2015.
