So many fans have criticized Warner Bros for not having a plan for their DC characters but it appears that criticism may have to be put to rest. It seems that Warner Bros and Zack Snyder have been planning a Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie for quite sometime. Proof can be found in some of the Easter Eggs laid in Man of Steel by Zack Snyder. Those Easter Eggs are becoming more relevant as more facts about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes out. Those facts include confirmed characters for the upcoming movie.

The S.T.A.R. Labs Cyborg connection

As we know Cyborg has been confirmed to make at least a cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. An S.T.A.R. Labs (Science and Technology Advanced Research Laboratories) Easter Egg was laid in Man of Steel. How does this relate to Cyborg? Well Victor Stone's (Cyborg) father works at S.T.A.R. Labs. Victor's father was conducting an experiment that severely injured Victor while he was visiting S.T.A.R. Labs. Rather than letting his son die Victor's father used untested cybernetic enhancements to rebuild and reconstruct Victor's body. And the hero Cyborg was born.

Another confirmation for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is Aquaman. The Merrevale Oil Rig made an appearance in Man of Steel. In the comics Aquaman believes Merrevale sabotaged its own oil rig and so that when all of its oil spilled into the water, Merrevale could do the clean-up, making them looking good to the world. So, this Merrevale scene from Man of Steel could be an exact remake of the Aquaman comics. Also, there has been speculation that the whales seen in Man of Steel when Clark was sinking in the ocean were sent by Aquaman to assist Clark; possibly while Aquaman was trying to contain the oil spill.

Batman/Bruce Wayne

Batman and Bruce Wayne references were also made in Man of Steel. As the title indicates Batman will be in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The Keep Calm and Call Batman poster supposedly was unknowingly put on the wall by someone that was putting up the set. Zack did not realize it was there until later but thought it was awesome and left it in. Bruce Wayne having satellites in space shows how much access he has to the worlds best technology. I cannot wait to see Zack's Batman in action with all the gadgets and technology that will put Batman on the same level of Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman.

Lex Luthor

There were certainly a lot of Lex Luthor Easter Eggs laid in Man of Steel and yes Lex has been confirmed for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as well. Based on what we saw in Man of Steel it should be expected that Lex is a credible business man with his name all over buildings and buses. This Lex has pretty much been confirmed for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which should be very similar to the Lex we saw in Smallville.

My favorite Easter Egg from Man of Steel that referenced a future Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie was that the Batman v Superman symbol was actually on Superman's fathers (Jor-El) suit. I like this one because it shows that there definitely was a plan in place for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for quite sometime. Finally, Warner Bros got serious about creating a Justice League universe and putting the most iconic super heroes ever on screen together. We can only hope that Zack Snyder and Warner Bros does this universe justice (pun intended).
