Although you'll most likely see Elektra and Bullseye in Netflix’s upcoming Daredevil series, you can still discover new takes on these classic Marvel characters through newly posted concept art from Mark Steven Johnson’s 2003 film.
The Daredevil film that featured our future Batman, Ben Affleck, that we all love or (for most of you) hate, could have had a much darker look and feel. His costume would have been much more armored then just leather, Bullseye had a protruding scar from his eye, and Elektra would have looked a lot more like her comic book counterpart.
The art offers alternative looks at the trio compared to how they eventually showed up in the film. Manser’s Bullseye sports facial scarring and a textured leather trench coat, Daredevil’s red bodysuit includes armored plates, and the Elektra designs remain faithful to the source material. Some alternate takes on Daredevil’s costume stray far from the source material by presenting a DD void of his signature crimson color.
You can check out a few of the designs below and the rest on Manser’s blog.
