2014 had some amazing film releases. Here's a look back at some of my favourites in list out of 10.

10.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2
The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man ranks at number 10 in our favourites for 2014. I thought the second film was more enjoyable to watch and had a lot more to give. It was full of action and re-introduced old characters as well as the new ones.

9.

Transformers: Age of Extinction
Transformers: Age of Extinction

I would have to add Transformers to my number 9 as i love all the Transformer films apart from the second one which was not too bad but wasn't as enjoyable and action packed like the others. No.4 had a lot more depth to the story and introduced different characters.

8.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Caesar!!!! I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching Planet of the Apes. One of my favourites. But sadly the story could of been a little better in Dawn of the Apes. So i am ranking this as my no.8.

7.

Interstellar
Interstellar

A lot of people are not going to be happy with my decision on Interstellar. Don't get me wrong i absolutely enjoyed this film and thought that the story-line and visuals were incredible. However if Gravity had a better story-line like Interstellar with the visuals that it had itself, now that would of been a great movie. This film was overly long to get to the point and action part of the film. A lot to explain to the audience which happens in a sci-fi film. However it could of been shortened and get more to the point quicker and still keep its audience engaged. I had a lot of questions i wanted to ask after watching this film. As towards the end Nolan took us yet again on his incredible mind-blowing twist journey. I literally felt an Inception moment there! Ranking at no.7.

6.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Captain America: The Winter Soldier

This had to be my favourite Captain America film. Action packed, funny and a lot more to give. I preferred this one to the first even though I also enjoyed the first but thought the ending was slightly rushed. In Winter Soldier we finally have everything explained following from the first film.

5.

X-Men: Days of Future Past
X-Men: Days of Future Past

This was one of my favourite comic films to watch this year. Introduction to old and new characters as well as young and old Professor X and Magneto. I loved Quicksillver in this film.

4.

The Lego Movie
The Lego Movie

This was one of my absolute favourites I enjoyed this film so much. It was funny, quirky and had a great twist at the end. Above all that the song 'Everything is Awesome' I couldn't get it out of my head it literally made everything feel awesome!

3.

Godzilla
Godzilla

I was waiting for this since I first heard of it. I really liked the re-make of this film but I also like the 1998 version too. It was a hard choice to decide but I love them both. The re-make for Godzilla was different and interesting as to where it took the story and it ranks as my number 3.

2.

The Hobbit: The battle of the five armies
The Hobbit: The battle of the five armies

I am going to have to say that the last Hobbit film was one of my favourites out of the 3. I preferred this film as it had more action compared to the last 2 it also didn't feel as long compared to the others and I really liked the way it ended. A lot more happened within this film than the last 2.

1.

Guardians of the Galaxy
Guardians of the Galaxy

And the no.1 of the year which I believed is many people's favourite if you like comic films and Marvel of course is 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. Funny, quirky and even more funny. If I want to compare this to 'The Avengers' I think I would have to choose GOTG as I enjoyed it a lot more. However I don't know what surprises are around the corner for 'Age of Ultron' we'll just have to wait and see.
