Last week, a short teaser snippet for a full length trailer was released during the holidays that featured Captain America himself, Chris Evans, promoting a new online-only Call of Duty game set to be released in China. I had written a longwinded speculative post on how Evans could potentially be the actor to carry the Call of Duty franchise into live-action films based on the teaser footage. Because really, the guy looks great as a soldier in any time period.

Today, the full length trailer dropped for the new, free-to-play Call of Duty Chinese release

While there's absolutely no indication whatsoever that Chris Evans or Activision (the studio behind Call of Duty) are going to join forces in the near future, the trailer basically reaffirms my opinion that the Captain America actor would fit in just fine as the leading man in the yet to be officially announced Call of Duty live-action film. I think we can all agree that Evans really does pull off the Hollywood action hero quite well. I suppose it should be a natural role for him by now.

About the game: Call of Duty Online has been in development for a number of years and in an open beta in China since 2014. The game will be free-to-play for Chinese players but will feature micro-transactions allowing customization of avatars and weapons including elements and characters from the Call of Duty games Modern Warfare, Ghosts and Advanced Warfare. The full version of the game gets released January 11th.

Do you think Chris Evans should star in a Call of Duty live action film?
