Ok, wait... back up a second and hold the phone. Don't get your hopes up. The above header image is not from Joker test footage of any kind, or captured video of Jared Leto messing around on set in costume from the upcoming Suicide Squad movie. You have to agree, it looks good though right?

Unfortunately for us Joker fans, that screenshot is actually capped from bootleg footage of Jared performing at a concert where he was done up as a zombie. The revealing video was uploaded to YouTube a few years ago; did someone in the Suicide Squad casting department manage to stumble across this somehow? It was definitely a hidden gem just waiting to be found. I personally became aware of it via a recent bit from YouTube user JaeRoar.

You can view the full version of the original bootleg video here.

I believe this concert footage gives us a fairly good idea of what David Ayer and Jared Leto's iteration of the most iconic Batman villain will look like in Suicide Squad. It definitely paints a satisfying representation of the character, despite being completely unofficial and unrelated.

Let's just analyze it real quick for a moment: Leto looks convincingly nuts in the unkempt getup, and his facial expressions while singing definitely adds to the nuttiness. His hair even looks similar to what is reportedly the style The Joker will sport in his upcoming return to the big screen. The Nolan-style Ledger-esque Joker makeup looks real good on him here too, all with just the right amount of crazy in his eyes to tie it all together.

After seeing the footage, I for one am completely sold on Jared Leto as The Joker in DC's upcoming slate of films now. Solid casting choice, and big ups to WB/DC for landing him. But what about you? Are you convinced? Sound off in the comments below!

Whoa, does Jared Leto look like The Joker in the concert footage or what?!
