Hello Marvel fans! Agent Carter, the eight-part television event based on the awesome former love interest of Captain America, premieres tonight on ABC during Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D's mid-season break. So to get myself even more pumped for this sure to be epic event, I've been thinking about what we'll see in the show; and what I'd like to see that would make the show even better!

So here's the 5 things that I want to see when Agent Carter premieres:

1. Some distrust between comrades

In the show, Peggy is troubled after the world enters a state of peace and she's forced to come back home to work in an office job for the "Strategic Scientific Reserve". Her life is stale and boring until old war pal Howard Stark asks for her help to clear his name in a scandal involving accusations against him stating that he is selling deadly weaponry to anyone willing to pay him a pretty penny.

Now I'm not sure if Howard really did do this, but then again neither is Peggy. Though Peggy and Howard are friends, the biggest and admittedly most cliche thing in shows is that whenever a person hears that one of their closest friends is involved in some scandal, they almost immediately become skeptical towards their once trustworthy chum!

But you went to my niece's birthday party...

It would be great to see some sort of conflict or sense of distrust between Peggy and Stark. After all, there's bound to be tons of evidence to prove that Howard is guilty; and whether he's guilty or not, having Peggy almost believe some of it will create tension and drama amidst the atmosphere of the show! It could even create a turning point where Peggy admits to Howard that she doesn't fully trust him, causing him to lose faith in her assistance. Eventually with no help, Howard will be arrested and Peggy will have to decide whether or not she'll help her friend or leave him to be incarcerated. It would serve for an epic plot and great character depth! It's a bit much to fit into an eight-part mini-series, but I have faith in Marvel.

2. Hydra Villains

"Oh what's that? Captain America defeated Red Skull and the war is over? Well then, now the world is finally at peace!" said the one person who completely forgot about the literal army of villains still very much active! Red Skull may be down for the count (allegedly) but Hydra is still a huge threat to the world! And not just the many faceless foot soldiers. Hydra has employed tons of notable supervillains, and with Cap gone, it looks like Agent Peggy Carter will have to deal with them! And that's fine! She's more than able to handle the likes of Arnim Zola, Baron von Strucker and the deadly and well-known Captain America villain Baron Zemo!

I'm not sure if Marvel is ever planning to use these characters in the MCU, but it they were, this would the best way! Especially with the MCU being more realistic than comics are when i comes to characters ages, they couldn't introduce these characters in the main timeline—they'd all be in wheelchairs. Well actually, they did feature Arnim Zola in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but it was simply an advanced A.I that had his consciousness plugged in to it.

3. Superheroes

While we're on the topic of how the world keeps rolling despite everyone believing Captain America to be dead, there were quite a few Superheros during Cap's initial timeline as well. With Cap gone and Hydra still a large, it makes sense for these heroes to come out of hiding and step up against the many foes trying to destroy the world. But who exactly? Well besides Deadpool and Wolverine, who we have about a 0% chance of seeing in this series, Marvel heroes like Union Jack, the original Human Torch and Namor the Sub-Mariner!

The last of which is highly rumored to be getting his own film in the MCU at some point in the future! If the rumors are true, what's a greater way to announce/reference/enforce the character than to feature him or something pertaining to his stories in Agent Carter! Even if it's just something small, like when [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.](series:722469) referenced the Kree Empire well before we got to actually see them in Guardian's of the Galaxy!

4. Something relating to an upcoming MCU film

Speaking of awesome references, if Namor or any of the other WWII Marvel heroes aren't referenced in Agent Carter, I hope they at least reference an upcoming Marvel film. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D had entire episodes dedicated to the Avengers, [Thor: The Dark World](movie:206462) and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The show, being a part of the MCU, was affected by the events of these films. For instance, after the Avengers, the people of New York were aware that superheros were real and were frightened of them after the damage they caused during the battle of New York. The biggest set of events to occur was when it was revealed in The Winter Soldier that Hydra had hundreds of moles within S.H.I.E.L.D. AoS was largely affected by this.

But why should Coulson get all the nerdy referencing fun? Agent Carter could reference upcoming films, like [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035) as well. It'd be a bit challenging, with Agent Carter being set way before the events of any of the upcoming MCU films; but it's not impossible. There are a few ways they could do this. They could make a reference to Age of Ultron, just a tiny one that doesn't make much sense unless you're a huge comic fan, and then when you go to see Age of Ultron, the rest of the pieces of the puzzle will be connected and the reference will make sense. It would be great to reference Vision as he has a WWII background and is also set to appear in Age of Ultron. Or maybe Agent Carter could find some piece of alien tech that happens to belong to Thanos or the Kree! Marvel fans love Marvel shows filled with references to other Marvel projects! So expect to see something in Agent Carter.

So there you have it! 4 things I hope to see in Marvel's Agent Carter! Which do you want to see most?
