While the audience might have been outraged at the shocking death of [The Walking Dead](series:201193)'s resident sweetheart, Beth Greene, it appears not every cast member of the hit TV show is quite as upset as we are!

Chandler Riggs, better known to fans as Carl Grimes, spoke at a recent Q&A with fans and revealed to fans that actually he wasn't that distraught when he was told that Beth was going to be killed off the show, saying:

Well Scott called all of us (like he always does with character deaths) and told us that she would be dying. i figured it was bound to happen sometime, so i wasn't like sobbing or anything. plus i haven't really done a scene with her since the mid season finale of season 4, and before that was in like season 3. it wasn't like i hung out with her all the time, so it wasn't super devastating for me.

Wow, Carl Grimes is ice cold! Pretty big words from a dude who plays a character who, in my opinion, has only started becoming bearable in the last few seasons!

However, despite his reply sounding harsh, Riggs does have a good point, his character didn't interact with Beth all that much on the show, and I'm sure if Michonne or Rick were killed off it would have been a hell of a lot more devastating.

But whatever Chandler Riggs' reaction to the news was, it still doesn't mean that Beth Greene's absence won't be a massive focal point for the gang during the back half of Season 5.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on February 8th.
