[SPOILER ALERT] PLEASE STOP READING IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO READ SPOILERS CONCERNING FUTURE EPISODES OF ARROW!

After the shocking midseason finale of Arrow, viewers were left with only one question: Now what? In what direction will [Arrow](series:720988) go now that Oliver Queen is gone?

TV Line revealed in their Winter TV spoilers that when Arrow returns from its hiatus, it will waste no time exploring the effects caused by Oliver Queen's "apparent" demise.

Malcolm Merlyn will be the one to confirm the team's fears and reveal to them that Oliver Queen is dead.

With Oliver's death looming over their heads, new aspects of each character will be explored, as some screen time is shared among characters that don't often interact, such as Felicity and Thea.

Oliver's death will be the driving force that will ultimately lead Laurel Lance to suit up, and become The Black Canary. She will most likely aid Team Arrow (Felicity, Diggle, and Roy) in continuing Oliver's crusade to protect Starling City. Producers also revealed that Felicity and Laurel will share some pretty big moments.

Meanwhile, Ray Palmer will be testing out a part of his new suit. He will most likely be testing the shrinking capabilities of it on other objects before trying to it on himself. During the midseason finale, Palmer asked Felicity if she would like to help him in saving the city. Whether Felicity will be the one to introduce Palmer to the team is yet to be known.

The news of Oliver's death will also affect Diggle in a big way, as his emotions are explored in the midseason premier. Diggle actor David Ramsey also hints at possible storylines concerning H.I.V.E. - the organization responsible for hiring Deadshot to murder Diggle's brother, Andrew. But H.I.V.E. isn't the only organization returning this season.

Who is returning to Arrow?

The Suicide Squad returns!

Viewers haven't seen the last of Amanda Waller's Task Force X, better known to viewers as The Suicide Squad. Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg confirms that the group will be returning in the second half of the season. We last heard of the squad when Oliver mentioned to Diggle that Cupid was it's newest member.

Bex Taylor-Klaus who played Sin in Season 2, will return in episode 12, titled Uprising. Sin will play a "pivotal" role in the episode, which continues Laurel's investigation concerning Sara's death.

Caity Lotz and Peter Stormare return in episode 13, as Sara Lance and Count Vertigo. The last time viewers saw the two was back in the season premier of Season 3. Will viewers see a flashback between the two or will Count Vertigo return to open up old wounds?

Manu Bennett returns in episode 14 as Slade Wilson, better known to everyone else as Deathstroke. Viewers last saw Slade in the season finale of Season 2, where he was imprisoned by Oliver on Lian Yu. Whether we will see Slade in a flashback or in the present is unknown, but it is worth noting that Merlyn knew of Oliver's prison on Lian Yu. If we see Deathstroke in the present, it may be because Merlyn broke him out. Appearing in the same episode is Colin Donnell, returning as Tommy Merlyn.
