I have a very strong feeling that Moon Knight is going to be included in the MCU sometime in the future (maybe very soon), and I'll tell you why:
- He was hinted at as a verbal easter egg in Captain America: Winter Soldier.
- Marvel is creating a new Netflix wing of New York based street-level heroes... I bet we might be seeing a certain hero at least cameo in that.
- While this isn't exactly proof, it definitely helps that he has a popular solo title out...
With all of this, I think it's fair to say that it's not unlikely that Moon Knight will have an appearance in the MCU in the semi-near future.
All of that said... how about the actual fan-casting?
1.) Norman Reedus
Reedus is a huge action star these days because of his beloved role as Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead. I think that these are great credentials for a violent superhero like Moon Knight.
2.) Daniel Craig
Daniel Craig is one of the best and biggest names in Hollywood right now. With credits in films like the Bond films, Defiance, and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, it's safe to say that Craig is more than worthy to don the cowl of Moon Knight.
3.) Zachary Quinto
I'd love to see Zachary Quinto take on this role. It would be awesome. He's done action (Star Trek), he's done superheroes (Heroes), and he's done crazy (American Horror Story). He is overdue to play a comic book character, and this one works all too well.
4.) Paul Dano
He's done some really good roles. His role in There Will Be Blood was absolutely amazing. He's also been in some good action films as well (Looper, Cowboys & Aliens, Prisoners). I think he would be a good choice for a slightly younger looking take on the character.
5.) Emile Hirsch
Emile Hirsch is an incredibly underrated actor. With the amount of talent and awesomeness that Hirsch has, it's surprising to me that he hasn't been cast as a superhero or villain yet. He has so much charisma and I think that Moon Knight would be a good role for Emile to display that.
