Dragon Ball: Xenoverse will be released for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC on February 5th in Japan, February 17th in the EU and February 13th in North America. For some lucky fans, the wait is already less than a month until this game is unleashed upon them! Let's take a look at some new footage for Dragon Ball Z fans!
2015 is assuredly going to be a great year for fighting game fans! We've got Tekken 7, Mortal Kombat X, Street Fighter V and more on the way. But could Dragon Ball: Xenoverse already dominate the other titles so early in 2015?! With its options for character creation, large battles, a great new storyline and some beautiful graphics, its certainly a great contender!
Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, the Game DB Z Fans Have Been Waiting For
DBXV places players into the position of reshaping the past. The story is revealed to be about mysterious forces manipulating history, Time Patrol Trunks summoning a hero using Shenron to help him, with the hero being tasked with restoring the timeline. The story borrows many elements from Dragon Ball Online, including Towa and Miira manipulating time, and Time Patrol Trunks trying to restore the timeline with your help.
This new video showcases some of the characters engaged in heated matches (which look insanely awesome), with Super Saiyan God Goku fighting Beerus, Beerus fighting Whis and Super Saiyan 4 Goku fighting Super Android 17. Seeing as DBXV is coming out on NextGen and Previous Generation consoles, what platform will you be buying it for?!
Well that has me pumped! But what about sustainability? Can Dragon Ball: Xenoverse keep players interested in returning to its mechanics again and again? It's more than likely not going to kick off as an E Sports game, but why is that? Why do games like Street Fighter excel over DB Z games?

Well, for starters, there really hasn't been a great Dragon Ball game in a very long time. Maybe even since the PS2! So, while DBXV will have other fighting games beat in the sense of narrative and character design, will it have the great fighting mechanics that will keep us continually engaged?
We'll have to see how Bandai Namco have improved the series in this respect, and I sincerely hope that they've succeeded! It's been too long since I've enjoyed a Dragon Ball game. Do you think this is the one we've been waiting for?! Will DBXV have what it takes to keep us engaged with it for years to come??
