2015 is set to be a seriously great year for video games, but the horror genre itself is receiving some of the year's most intriguing hits. Resident Evil will be getting a HD Remake released for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on January 20th.

The Doom remake is set for an undisclosed date in 2015, though it may spill over to 2016. The Order 1886 is just round the corner, set to be released for PS4 on February 20th and the same console will be getting Until Dawn and Bloodborne later in the year.

Unfortunately, it seems like the PS4 will be getting a lot more attention in the horror department this year, but let's take a look at these titles and see which game you feel could take home the prize for 2015 in horror!

Resident Evil Games!

Resident Evil returns to us in a glorious HD remake of the Gamecube version from 2002! Capcom is more than likely building up to the rerelease of Resident Evil 2 HD remake, so let's hope that's the case and we see it soon. Resident Evil Revelations 2 is also on the way, with the first title being the best RE game since RE 4. With a statement made by Capcom saying that they look to embrace the series' survival horror roots, this may be a great contender for best 2015 horror game!

Until Dawn

Until Dawn looks like your typical horror movie with all of its tropes thrown in! You've got your lady in distress wearing basically nothing, a load of teenagers trapped in the middle of nowhere being hunted down one by one by a mad man...but the game embraces these horror roots and creates an experience that changes as you play. If one of your character dies, they are gone for the remainder of the game! Yep, sounds like a great horror experience!

The Order 1886

You can check out some of the latest footage of Sony's The Order 1886 below!

I'm still not entirely sold on the game, though its graphics are stunning and the stroy is very intriguing. The gun mechanics and feel of combat have been criticised though. Here's hoping that can be improved upon before its February release. Could the creatures in this game be the scariest of 2015?!

Bloodborne

If this game is as incredible as Dark Souls 1 and 2, then this will not only be the best horror game of the year but a contender for the best of 2015. Bloodborne looks like an experience that is sure to break many a controller. But with its dark world, co-op play and great weapons, this is one of the most anticipated games of the year!

Doom

Doom has been coming for a very, VERY long time. Now that it's out of development hell and Bethesda are producing, it seems like we won't have much longer to wait for a return to a great Doom title. It may not exactly arrive in 2015, but here's hoping we see it by the end of the year. If it's as revolutionary as the previous titles, we could be in for one of the best games of the year!

The Rest?!

All of these games look truly incredible, but there are plenty of other horror titles on the way. Do one of the following get your vote instead?!

H1Z1

This intriguing zombie survival title looks a lot like Day-Z, but does it have enough intriguing aspects going on to attract your attention? Personally, I can't wait to see how it plays, check out some gameplay footage here!

Draugen

The day before Halloween, indie developer Red Thread Games decided to give us something scary to look forward to with Draugen, a survival horror game that feels like Gone Home meets Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It’s set on the Norwegian west coast, so you can be sure it’s going to look ridiculously good.

SOMA

Last October, Amnesia developer Frictional Games started teasing their next project, the freaky looking horror game SOMA. Here we are a year later and the game is significantly less mysterious than it was back then. Even still, I can’t help but wonder if we’ve only scratched the surface. SOMA looks like a mystery wrapped in an enigma that’s been slathered in gore, modified corpses and face-eating robots.

Anything else out there that has your attention? Let us know in the comments and happy gaming in 2015!
