It seems as if J.J. Abrams, the savior of franchises, has been spending so much time around the Jedi that he's started to sound like one himself!
In a recent interview with Josh Horowitz from MTV News, Abrams was quizzed about the crazy amount of pressure he is being subjected to after making, arguably, the world's most eagerly anticipated movie.
Abrams seemed in a fairly jovial mood despite the brick wall of fear that must have been slowly building in his stomach since he put pen to paper on the Star Wars Episode VII contract! Have a look for yourself...
Pretty chill for a man who holds the hopes of the world in his hands! But he did have some choice things to say about his latest job...
All I know is, it is, without question, an intense and terrifying prospect, and you [Josh Horowitz] haven't made it any easier by speaking about it right now!
And after being jokingly told by Horowitz that "it's only the end of the world if you [Abrams] screw it [Star Wars Episode VII] up", Abrams decided to drop some Jedi sized truth bombs on the red carpet...
“The opportunity, I think, is greater than the fear, greater than the risk. I’m more excited about the work that everyone has done in the movie and this incredible cast.”
And this incredible shot?
But irrespective of all that, Abrams' Jedi talk is pretty damn cool, right? "The opportunity is greater than the fear. It is greater than any risk, young Padawan." I could totally imagine that being said by Obi-Wan Kenobi or a Jedi master of equaling badassery.
I'd say I sit here with baited breath in excitement for The Force Awakens, but I'd be dead by the time it releases. So, I'm just gonna sit here and be excited. Like, really rather excited!
