I feel like I've been writing a lot about cosplay as of late. But dammit, as long as you guys keep being awesome, I'm going to keep writing about you all! If you haven't already seen this viral wonder of a man, it's time to crawl out of that cave of yours to get a glimpse of the real-life Peter Griffin.
It's not just the costume that makes so great. As voice actor Robert Franzese says, the outfit was constructed out of things he already owned. The real treat here is his spot-on impression of one of America's favorite funny dads.
The look, the voice, the comedic timing, Robert has got it all which makes him a standout character at New York Comic Con. Check out some video evidence of his incredible talent below:
So here is Robert trying out some of Peter Griffin's best lines:
We get to find out what really grinds his gears about NYCC 2014.
Calling people bastards.
Peter Griffin doing the Batman theme.
(Not technically Peter, but it's family guy so I say it counts)
Peter vs. Meg. A classic battle.
He certainly knows what the word is!
And Robert's talent doesn't stop at Peter Griffin. This guy has a serious knack for voices. C'mon, Hollywood. Give this guy a job!
Above all else, I think Robert verbalized what makes Comic Cons so great. They're a place where people can dress up, have fun, share their interests, and feel like a freakin' celebrity because of it. Way to go, Robert! Everyone here at Moviepilot loves you. And clearly due to the virality of your video, everyone else does too.
Who is your favorite person to cosplay as? Let me know in the comments section. If you feel bold, include a picture!
