[SPOILER ALERT] PLEASE STOP READING IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO READ ANY SPOILERS CONCERNING ARROW AND THE FLASH!

Arrow and The Flash return in a couple of days, continuing the story that both midseason finales left open at the end of their midseason finales. With the apparent doom of Oliver, and the apparent identity of Harrison Wells - nothing but surprises are in store for viewers of these two DC Comic shows.

Arrow

Wasn't that trailer great! It was pretty intense ... let's break it down.

The trailer reveals someone finding, and taking away Oliver's body. It's safe to assume that whoever is taking Oliver's body is not working alone, as the individual is seen banging a door, for someone else to open and let him inside. From that scene alone, it's safe to cross out Ra's al Ghul as the one responsible for Oliver's rehabilitation.

Malcolm Merlyn is the one that delivers the devastating news to Team [Arrow](series:720988), bringing the sword that was thrusted into Oliver's chest as proof. Two things worth noting, Merlyn knows where the Arrow Cave is and has also visited the spot where Oliver and Ra's al Ghul dueled.

While viewers will not see Oliver in the present, (at least not in full capacity), viewers will continue to see Oliver through flashbacks as the trailer reveals Oliver running through a lab as he is being shot at, while carrying his "flashback" arrows.

It appears that Team Arrow has no time to mourn as there is a new crime boss who has his sights on The Glades. He is shown shooting at police as well as causing havoc. Three individuals are shown stepping up to the plate to protect Starling City.

While Ray doesn't know the identity of The Arrow, it may be possible that the news are reporting The Arrow's absence, causing Ray to speed up his suit's development. Ray is seen testing out a part of his suit, but it appears that it is malfunctioning. It may be a while before we actually see Ray shrink. Hopefully, Felicity can help with that little problem.

Producers revealed that Oliver's death is what will drive Laurel to suit up. In the trailer, Laurel is seen donning her Black Canary Outfit as she takes down a criminal. While she may not be trained at Sara's capacity, her training should allow her to take down the common thug.

A mature looking Roy, will also play a bigger role in the upcoming episodes. He is seen running away from bullets, most likely from the guys causing chaos in The Glades. With The Arrow gone, I expect some people to refer to him as "Red Arrow" to differentiate between him and Oliver, only because the public probably doesn't know him as "Arsenal."

The Flash

[The Flash](series:1068303) is wasting no time in building up the hype for it's upcoming episodes. There are so many details included in this trailer, which also gives viewers their first look at The Flash's three new villains. Please be aware that a spoiler not included in the trailer will be discussed below.

Leonard Snart will return to Central City, this time with a friend, Mick Rory. The pair will attempt to steal a multi-million dollar painting but Snart has other plans in store for The Scarlet Speeder. Captain Cold and Heat Wave will kidnap Caitlin, in an attempt to lure Barry out and end him.

There is a possibility that Caitlin Snow will develop superpowers and become the villain known as Killer Frost. This idea may be toyed with in the midseason premier, possibly with Cold shooting her with the cold gun, and Caitlin not being affected by it.

A new villain is shown, well, his glove is shown. This may be The Pied Piper, an old mentee of Harrison Wells. He seeks revenge against Wells because he blames him for his loss of hearing, caused by the particle accelerator explosion. He develops sonic wave weaponry, which he uses to target The Flash. According to Variety, The Pied Piper will also, "be the first gay supervillain ever to be featured on the small or big screen."

Peek-a-Boo

According to Comic Book, Britne Oldford will be playing a variation of Lashawn Baez, known as Peek-a-Boo, a villain with the ability to teleport.

She is heard taunting an out of breath Flash in the beginning of the trailer, and then shown confronting The Flash at the end. Her powers will make her a formidable opponent to Barry, as her abilities allow her to break down her molecular structure upon getting touched and appear elsewhere, making her extremely difficult to catch.

It appears that at some point in the upcoming episodes, Iris and Barry will kiss. While this kiss may not seem that big of deal to normal people, it might end up being the turning point for a law abiding detective. Will this kiss lead Detective Eddie Thawne towards a path of vengeance? Only time will tell.
