I love to write and watch movies. Why not combine the two?

As a personal fan of the BBC's TV series Sherlock, I find it very difficult to wait two years between each season of the show.

By now, BBC has given us 3 seasons and I, as a lot of other fans, ''need more''.

The stars of [Sherlock](series:201416), Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, agreed to film the fourth season which is supposed to air somewhere in 2016 but that will not be the first time we will see Sherlock again.

On 2nd July it was announced there would be a special episode of the TV series, between the third and the fourth season.

The Sherlock special image was posted to BBC One Twitter account:

Due to many other projects Cumberbatch and Freeman have, you may wonder when will they have the time to shoot this.

Freeman said:

  • “Mark Gatiss may beat me up, but there is an idea for this one-off special that’s such a good idea, and as I was listening to it I thought 'we’ve just got to do this.’ And I don’t know when we are going to be able to do it, unfortunately. It’s a fantastic, really mouth-watering idea. But I really don’t know when we are going to get to do it.”

Luckily it was confirmed the filming of the episode will begin somewhere in January, 2015. On 1st August 2014, the air date of the episode was also confirmed.

Christmas, 2015. Sounds good, right?

Just a bit more waiting and we will have our favorite sassy detective on our television screens again.

Are you excited for the special?
