After the critical and commercial success of Marvel's 2012 action film The Avengers, people have been and continue to be craving for more on the team. And now we are going to get Avengers Age of Ultron. So we finally get to see more on the adventures of the original team consisting of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye with some new additions such as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver and The Vision.

According to Marvel, when we get to see the Avengers, everything has changed for them over the course of the past few films, particularly with the events that took place in Captain America: The Winter Soldier with the downfall of SHIELD and the uprising of HYDRA. And according to Baron Wolfgang von Strucker (played by Thomas Kretschmann), an 'Age of Miracles' has begun and he states that he will bring more of HYDRA down on the Avengers, particularly he means Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. And that will come into play as this film progresses when it hits theaters in a few months.

When we left the Avengers in the first film, they were returning to their normal everyday lives after saving New York from being destroyed by Thor's evil brother Loki (played by Tom Hiddleston) and an army of aliens. The New York fight has had a strong impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, that somehow it will come into play in this movie. It was mentioned in several previous films including some references to it were made in the Marvel ABC show Agents of SHIELD.

But now we find the Avengers here, we find them wanting to take a break from fighting HYDRA and other evil forces. So Tony Stark develops a special technological program dubbed Ultron. As time goes on, Ultron sees that the human race are the major threat and he ventures out to destroy all of humanity, because he sees them 'tangled in strings'. This is a small reference to the classic song 'I've Got No Strings' from the Disney film Pinocchio. It was used in the first trailer and has taken a more darker tone to go with the film. I can kind of see this Marvel film as both Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and The Empire Strikes Back for Marvel, considering that there is a much darker tone in the movie.

Now looking at the cast and crew for this film, everyone returns in their roles as cast members and/or film crew. The film is directed by Joss Whedon (Firefly; Serenity; The Avengers) and produced by Marvel president Kevin Feige. The film will feature an ensemble cast consisting of the return of fan favorites Robert Downey Jr (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/The Hulk) Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Don Cheadle (James Rhodes/Iron Patriot), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton/Hawkeye), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Paul Bettany (J.A.R.V.I.S.) and Stellan Skarsgard (Dr. Erik Selvig).

They will be joined by newcomers Aaron Taylor Johnson (Godzilla; Kick-Ass) as Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver, Elizabeth Olsen (Godzilla; Oldboy) as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Thomas Kretschmann (Cars 2; King Kong) as HYDRA leader Baron Wolfgang von Strucker and James Spader (Lincoln) as the main antagonist Ultron. Bettany will also be playing Ultron's own creation, The Vision.

Now right when this film was announced as Avengers 2, I thought to myself 'I sure hope that the next villain will be even more powerful than Loki was in the first film.' I also thought that Thanos would be the next villain. While it has already been confirmed that Thanos will appear in the upcoming two-part film Avengers: Infinity War, he is not the villain as everyone first thought.

And when they announced Ultron as the next villain, I thought 'WOW!! Ultron is perfect!!!' He is considered to be the bigger villain in this film while HYDRA is considered the second set of villains here. While Loki is considered to be Marvel's top villain, Ultron may turn the tide to becoming Marvel's bigger villain alongside Alexander Pierce and Thanos.

Another great thing about this movie is that we get to see the Hulkbuster armor in a sequence where Iron Man takes on the Hulk. Though the reason is currently unknown, I hear that this will be a stunning sequence that will take place somewhere in the film.

So what do you think about the direction that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will take when Avengers Age of Ultron hits? What are your thoughts about the Hulkbuster armor? Leave your thoughts down below.
